    Iv'e read that at a couple of places but a mate of mine says maybe not?

    I won it on ebay tonight still sealed and unplayed for only £8!

  4. 10,000 is quite a lot. the b-sides are only album tracks from JT so i'd keep it sealed
  5. Keep it sealed. SOMEONE'S got to have digital versions of the music, right? Or am I missing the point?

    EDIT: Oh, they're just the Joshua Tree B-sides? Definitely keep it sealed.

  8. You know sometimes the tracks have slightly longer intro/fade. Take 4th July there are 4 different track lengths depending on album, 12 inch gatefold sleeve. 11 o'clock tick tock varies extra long intro, as does Boomerang 2, Prride vairies on the introp and the faid (larry stick count in) also Bono whispered vocals on guitar solo. Bass trap varies by one minute. Love comes tumbling varies on the intro (gitar lick and larry drum/stickcount in). The New Zealand Unforgettable fire 12 inch has Love comes tumbling with completely different lyrics. Running to stand still varies by 2 seconds (one extra note from edge).

  9. i have both the 7 inch and the 12 inch of in gods country and the b side tracks bullet and running are the same as the album versions.....however i know that there are a number of different versions of songs where they tend to release different versions on different formats....all i want is you is a good example!! if tou have a look at u2wanderer.org you can flick through the discography and see whats different.....i have a friend who buys 2 of everything....but for me the real value is in the music!!!!

    I don't understand why buy vinyls and then not open them! the whole point is to enjoy the vinyl !
    so open it, play it on a phonograph and enjoy!

    or play the CD with the same songs and hold on to the value of the limited edition
