1. Well the financial fair play doesn't come into effect until the 2014-15 season. The season just gone was the first to contribute towards the assessment. Nothing is fair in football really, but when it's your team benefitting and winning, why complain? Manchester City made a £194m loss in 2010-11, so they could cram in as much as they could before the assessment period came into effect. In some ways, it worked for them. They have Champions League football and a decent enough squad. Problem with them though is that they are only a small club and they fail to fill the stadium each week. Can they make enough money to cover the transfer fees and wage bill? Doesn't matter, there are loopholes that can cover it for them.

Same goes for any club really. The financial fair play regulations are just an empty threat in my opinion. I can't see any of the old G-14 struggling with the rules, it'll be smaller clubs who get punished.
  2. but how can you think to adjust your financials for that time spending almost 200mil this year (are they done?) more or less the half last year? don't think PSG can effort just with merchandise .. they're not Man Utd uh?

about your last statement how do you put Thiago-Ibra affair from the side of ac milan if not struggling with the rules? maybe there could be other reasons too...
i don't put in count our last couple of years market ...
  3. Well PSG spent €108m in the 2011-12 season, second only to Manchester City. They only made €11m in transfer fees so that leaves them €97m out of pocket. Quite a distance short of the allowed €45m loss, which is too high in my opinion still. So PSG somewhere need to have made up €52m from gate receipts, TV revenue, advertising, merchandising and prize money. Of course though, that €52m doesn't include the wage bill which is counted as expenditure, so it's likely they need to find much more than €52m to meet the €45m threshold.

AC Milan selling the players could be an attempt to balance their books, who knows? They have stated that they will save a lot of money by selling these players plus make a lot of money from the transfer fees.

There are ways around it of course. Manchester City recently struck a deal to rename their stadium, as did Newcastle United. Manchester City's deal is worth £350m over ten years, which essentially is +£35m start in sponsorship each season.

does you counts include the players salaries?

  8. No it doesn't They were -€97m on transfer fees alone. I have no idea what their wage bill is but that loss would easily stretch towards -€110m/-€120m and beyond with the wages.
