1. A while ago I shared here that I had purchased a MacBook Pro. And now it's stolen.. I miss it!
  2. Terrible luck Remy, is anything being done to find it?

  3. It got stolen out of my suitcase at Amsterdam Schiphol airport. It was hidden in my clothes. They apparently scanned it on x-ray, opened my suitcase, grabbed it away and neatly put everything back together again. Of course no insurance company or travel agency will do anything with such a thing
  4. Ridiculous, staff stole it? That's just not on.
  5. WOW

  6. Yep, and yes I know you should never do anything pricy in your suitcase but I always leave my laptop in it, going well. However, these bastards thought they could get away with it.. which they did. After some Google-ing I found that it's very common, lots of thieves out there in luggage control.

Ah well, I'm over it now, but the day I found out on my holiday was pretty fucked up.
  7. Wow, that' spretty awful. I will be careful not to carry anything pricey or valuable on my luggage, it's amazing how they can do that And we have to rely on those staff to take care of our flight security? WTF
  8. Fucking awful. What to do though? I mean, wouldn't a computer get frozen to death in the normal luggage? Guess you gotta check that stuff immediately after control.

That's bullshit. Most plane's holds are air-conditioned nowadays.

  10. Yeah, they are mostly pressurised these days. Nothing to worry about.
  11. My golf clubs are always cold after flying. Maybe they're stored somewhere else though, but I dunno. Having a computer in the normal luggage doesn't exactly feel safe to me.

That's no problem, I do it all the time. Last year I flew more than 30 times, 90% with laptop in regular luggage. Still works fine.

Computers have no problem with cold, as long as it's not freezing.
