1. I doubt this has any use posted here, but... You never know:

    Coldplay ‏@coldplay
We've just been able to release an extra 3,000 tickets for the previously sold out 6 Sept show at the Hague, NL - http://cldp.ly/cpnltix

Now I wonder how resourceful Coldplay's tech guys will be... In addition to the Xylobands they're bringing, the Olympic Stadium has a nifty feature that the seats of the upper rafters also double as a massive video screen encircling the stadium. I thought it was freaking clever of the designers to do that and I really liked how they were used.

they are gonna eat that up and go with it probably.
  3. Paralympics News: Rihanna is set for Princess of China.
    The Xylobands are a go.
Paradise's Lyrics are being changed to Para Para Paralympics, just like Ahn said (even if he was just kidding! ha!).
Coldplay will be headlining the event and will play a lot of their music.
Viva La Vida will be performed by hundreds of different musicians across the UK simultaneously.
And they turned down the closing ceremony of the regular Olympics to play the Paralympics instead.

On a side note, Sergio, are you still making that multicam of the Madrid show? I'd love to see it
  4. I abandoned the project, for no suitable/decent audio feed ever surfaced

  5. sorry to hear that. I didn't check out that bootleg on coldplaying haha
  6. I understand that conditions weren't optimal to tape (it hailed like I hadn't seen in years until few minutes before the show), but still I'm pissed that no full source is available. Maybe I go back to it some day, even with a crappy source, just for the sake of it.
  7. Make the most of what's left of 2012, Coldplayers...

Coldplay to take year off, then begin recording 'LP6' in 2014 and touring again from 2015

Make the most of what's left of 2012 Coldplayers - it seems it might be a while before the next Coldplay era arrives, according to various reports we've pieced together this week. After the current European stadium tour which began this week in Denmark, and the confirmed Australasian tour in November, and a potential Latin American tour sometime in February/March 2013, reports are suggesting that Coldplay are set to take 12 month hiatus following the Mylo Xyloto tour as Chris Martin and his wife Gwyneth Paltrow make plans to move to Los Angeles from their London home.

A recent article from Radar Online gives an indication on what might be on the horizon for the band. They said, "Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow are moving to Los Angeles. The couple usually reside in London but have splashed out on a $10.45million mansion in Brentwood's Mandeville Canyon. British Coldplay frontman Chris and American star Gwyneth have apparently decided to make it their permanent base for the immediate future - because LA-born Paltrow wants to spend more time with her mother Blythe Danner..."

The source told RadarOnline: "Chris and Gwyneth have wanted to move to Los Angeles for a while. Gwyneth spends a lot time between the UK and the U.S. and she’s exhausted. The purpose of buying the lavish home in Brentwood was to make that a semi-permanent base. Gwyneth spends a lot of time away from her mom, Blythe and wants to be closer to her as she gets older. Chris was very understanding and is willing to give living in Los Angeles a chance because he’s always loved the city."

The source went on to say: "Chris's band won't be working on a new album for at least another year so he has some breathing space to kick back."

Meanwhile, Jason Regler, the inventor of the Xylobands has tweeted information on future use of the wristbands, while giving substance to the media sources, adding that there will be no touring until 2015, and that Coldplay keen to make a new record before then. Talking about what will happen to his Xyloband business when there are no Coldplay concerts to show them off, he said, "No (Coldplay) tour again until 2015, so I need to be busy. Not like I put it (Xylobands) away. More artists to come.. sure annoy people."

  8. My wife is going with a friend ...concert Will be broadcasted on the Dutch radio....
  9. No Coldplay till 2015?!?! So I really hope this resting time begins after the possible latin america tour...
  10. Well that's super bunk. Hopefully those rumors about a Montreal DVD coming out this fall are true, maybe it'll be enough to tide us over. 2015 though..
  11. They're taking the U2 approach I think. We do the biggest tour we can, we "burn out" our fanbase with lots of concerts (and a stale setlist so everyone can enjoy the same show equally), then take a year or two to rest, and then we take it easy with the next album. U2 has been doing so since... 1997?
  12. Please stop discussing Coldplay on a U2 website.
Do this on a Coldplay website.

Tell me when is the greatest RockBand on the planet U2 bring out new material and a new world tour ahead.
U2 is the only band asking themselves the same question whatever they do:Is this ever done before?
That's the only reason for U2 to stay on top for such a long time in Rock 'n Roll business an be innovative.
