  4. Alright, we'll relaunch after the August Crash with a new topic and a new round. In the meantime, Please use this topic to make suggestions regarding the future of this topic

    We ran a bit thin on the ground last time, only myself, Nick, Pato and emiel regularly took part. Me and Nick discussed the BRT privately and both agreed that midweek, we need some conversation in here, to not only actually spark a discussion but maybe also draw new long term members in.

    I'm happy to continue the BRT for just a few of us, but we need more than "Here's your show" Then two weeks later "Review: ..."

    So, all suggestion welcome. We'll start again on Monday the 3rd September

  8. Me and Nick are planning to start again soon

    I'll definitely be contacting someone midweek to ask them for a choice, then we'll definitely start again on the 24th. I'm just going to read back through BRT 1, 2, 3, & 4 to see what we can bring from them.

    We may start a new topic, v5.5, or we may not. Keep your eyes peeled.

    I just want to throw some ideas out there for anyone to comment on.

    1. Regarding the members list, I think it's best to have a solid rota of members who will regularly pick shows (Tim, Nick, Pato, emiel...) as opposed to putting everyone on. Allow anyone to discuss/review a show, it doesn't matter if you're on the list or not, but to pick a show, you must say that you want to join the picking squad.

    2. We used to have a summariser, Dan (djrlewis), who posted a brief overview of what everyone thought in a separate topic. Maybe we could bring this back? I tried in the first round of 5.0 but it was too much to continue alone. If you think it's a good idea, apply here. A good level of English would be preferable.

    3. Get rid of the points system, it would no longer be needed if my first point is implemented.

    4. Maybe start to run on a weekly basis as opposed to fortnightly. If so, then possibly have a break in the first week of a month, so we don't clash with the 'Show of the Month' feature.
