1. In some countries advertising like that is illegal, here in Holland it used to be but now it is allowed.
  2. It's absolutely illegal here, it's called competencia desleal (something like "unfair competition"). You can't name or show pics from other brand's products, and obviously not name their disadvantages towards your products either! I'm surprised it isn't a global concept
  3. As I said, it was illegal here, but now it is allowed. ONLY if it doesnt contain factual lies.

hmmm...I remember when I was there, there was an ad for orange juice on spanish tv, I think it was Don Simon. The ad was very simple, showed shelves on a store having another brand of juice, it said you can get this juice (it actually named the brand) with only this much percent of natural juice or you can get don simon with so much more juice...what was that all about then?

A lighter iPhone is surely a positive? Is iOS really a negative against Android 4.0? Is a bigger screen a major plus? Whilst the iPhone is missing some of its features on that list, such as FaceTime, Samsung aren't lying about the specs of the device. It's just like the Asda adverts that say "We're cheaper than Tesco based on..." - it's based on fact. It won't stop people shopping at Tesco and Samsung certainly won't stop people buying the iPhone 5.

Apple were quick to point out flaws and mock the opposition during the iPhone keynote in 2007. What goes around, comes around. Apple deserve a good slap.

They were both property of the same market group Pretty stupid, they were throwing stones at their own roof It was banned shortly later though, when the anti-Unfair Comp. laws started to be severly applied (around 2002 or so, when our national phone company was privatized).
  7. Where Samsung have been a bit cheeky with the ad is by bulking up their list with some device specific bits and bobs. The iPhone list could have been fleshed out with minor details like wireless syncing, icloud, more accessories, quicker updates, more content etc. Samsung have fleshed their list out with not a lot really.

Either way if you think specs are all to consider then you are a bit of a numpty. Buy whatever works best for you.

Me? Might get a 5 next summer when i'm due an upgrade. The 4 is starting to show its age. I just hope iOS6 doesn't cripple it.

  8. A staff member at Hackney Wick rail station in east London has left some tongue-in-cheek transport information for users of Apple's iPhone 5, which was launched on Friday.

Ben Mathis posted the snap of his self-authored rail update on Twitter after many users of the new iPhone reported problems with Apple's map service.

  9. That pic if his is everywhere. Good lad himself.
  10. My 4 seems to be coping with iOs 6 ok. Haven't noticed a huge difference really other than a few subtle scrub ups in the mail and music apps.
  11. Love the new dark skin in the stores and music app
