1. a celebrating tour for the 4th anniversary of Chinese Democrazy or the 25th of Appetite? ... nice how many "appetite" members will partecipate at the celebration
  2. Izzy and Duff, maybe. I don't think anyone's celebrating Chinese Democracy; not sure if anyone even cares anymore about it.

I'd say Appetite is the celebratory record given it's 25 years this year it came out.
  3. surely even if you never know with Axl hehe
  4. not sure if my top5 got wiped out in the server crash:

    in no particular order:

    It's so Easy
    Rocket Queen
    You're Crazy (Acoustic Version)
    Civil War
    Locomotive
  5. Top 10

    Coma
    Estranged
    Paradise City
    Locomotive
    Welcome
    Breakdown
    Don't Cry (UYI 2 version)
    Back off Bitch
    Civil War
    Pretty Tied Up
  6. with guilty delay i've managed to listen to the Slash album.
it's not bad nothing less nothing more than you expect from him .. nice riff over the tracks
Myles Kennedy suffers a bit of Axl syndrome still better hearing him here than in Alter Bridge hehe
anyhow it's always good records of this kind come out nowadays
  7. There were some great rock records from the last couple of years or so. There was Sebastian Bach, Slash (as mentioned), Van Halen (awesome album!!!), Jack White, Ozzy, 'New' Hendrix etc. Not mentioning the Alice Cooper album from last year...crap.

My favourite Apocalyptic Love track is still One Last Thrill followed by Carolina and Bad Rain. Sounds like a straight-up rock and roll album, no need for overproduction (as much as I like that sometimes) so it's good to still have great rock - especially in this shitty climate of poor music.

    Coma
    Estranged
    Paradise City
    Locomotive
    Welcome
    Breakdown
    Don't Cry (UYI 2 version)
    Back off Bitch
    Civil War
    Pretty Tied Up

Here's a list I can go with. Coma and Estranged - I'd put Rocket Queen in place of Paradise City and that'd be all I change of this one.
  8. When I make a "Top 10" GNR list, I either automatically include the "big three" (Sweet Child O'Mine, Welcome to the Jungle, and Paradise City) from Appetite... or omit them entirely from my list. These three songs are so essential to GNR listening that one cannot forget about them but we've also heard them so many times that it might be best to give others a "chance."
  9. 100% shared speech

'Tis true. Same for November Rain for me too.
Drew - thanks. I'm not overly familiar with Rocket Queen but if my list resonates otherwise, I'll give it a listen.
  11. Rocket Queen is a classic. It's almost like it's two songs in one!

A great song to close a great album.
  12. One of the coolest things about Rocket Queen is how the orgasmic sounds make a re-appearance at the end of Illusion II on My World. For some reason I really like My World - there's something so cool about it (effects, synths, drum machines, 'heartbeats', vocals etc) yet so prophetic - so to speak.

Guess what I'm gonna do now?

What's Axl gonna do now? Let me guess, you're gonna sit on your ass not doing anything and spending 35 seconds contributing to an album that wasn't coming for 15 years later? Definitely check out Rocket Queen, then have a look for Steven playing drums quite recently at some music store on Youtube. He can still play, as shown by this from 2011:

The closest thing to Appetite-era Guns that I've ever heard; more so than Slash's stuff.
