I was at that game. I heard Alfie scream from miles away. Chants of 'the referees a wanker were had' until we watched MOTD later that night.

Liam Gallager was thrown out of Santiago Bernabeu's stadium tonight LOL. He was apparently being disrespectful towards the adversary supporters and the security guards (he's been reported to having kissed a guard after Manchester scored their first goal).

Of course Manchini isnt happy, Hart speaks like they arent a small team anymore which is true but Manchini always wants to be in the underdog position.

He played with 3 defensive middfielders, such a coward. I wonder if against Ajax and Dortmund they will play more attacking.

Im happy that with Frank De Boer we got a coach who always wants to attack and play the typical Ajax game instead of just defending and hoping for a counter, of course this will mean you will lose some game (and especially against bigger/better teams) but it proves we could get something out of a game (Ac Milan, Lyon 2x, Manchester United)

a great team don't play everytime with blinders .. matches are different and also in a single match situations can be different and need some changes

Sergio: I agree with everything he said, teams need a leader like that on the field. But, not giving Madrid credit when the dominated most of the game? That's my issue

Bart: Of course they'll play more attack minded against Dortmund and Ajax. But teams should know by now that their defence isn't airtight. So if Ajax attack against them, they can score. QPR have this season, Southampton have this season, Chelsea, Stoke, Madrid and Liverpool. No clean sheets. I'll be cheering Ajax on

Ronnie: True, but losing a game that you should be seeing out is unacceptable. They played poorly throughout, should've been 2-0 at half time. They deserved to lose. They should've seen the game out at 2-1. Teams will fancy themselves to score past them now. It's like Man Utd last season, teams come to Old Trafford expecting something. Man City play Arsenal next and Arsenal are playing quite well.

Unrelated: Evra and Suarez agree to shake hands this weekend. If they don't, that game is going to explode.

mine was a more general concept than related to the match of yesterday .. it was referred to "always and in any case" attacking view of Bart

if Kompany wasn't scared of that "cannonball" by Ronaldo a draw was sorted out at least.. matter is not they defended it's they defended bad

Real did a great match and it would not have been easy for any team (attacking or defending)

Well unless you're Arsenal circa 2004, you can't play top opposition and not lose some games.

They've got a long way to go in England still. Chelsea broke records left, right and centre. Arsenal were invincible (in a Man Utd sandwich) and Man Utd won the treble. Man City won the league on goal difference after letting a big lead slip and then catching another team that did the same. In terms of European football, they're a long way behind.

But yeah, last night was tough for them. Real we're bang on, a little sloppy in front of goal in the first half, but still impressive. Like you said, if Kompany had just put his head on the ball, they'd come away 2-2, maybe.
