1. listening and loving it
Just one thing...is it just me or does Explorers' melody sound very similar and in some parts almost exactly the same as Guiding Light?
  2. I prefer the live Follow Me we heard the other day to the album version. This sounds absolutely overproduced and it definitely has some dubstep influences too (quite prominent on the {pre}-choruses).

Finishing the first full listen to the album (Save Me just ended)... Well, I'm not so passionate about it as Matt and Ali are, but I think it's quite good. Animals, Supremacy and Big Freeze are superb!! Follow Me, Explorers, Survival and Madness are strong album fillers (Survival is overrated anyway). Panic Station has disappointed me
  3. As soon as Panic Station started I started to sing: "Another one bites the dust...'
  4. Not that I or anyone else was looking to download the leak but if for hypothetical purposes one was looking to do so would anyone be able to possibly inform that person if they found anything better than 128 kbps?
  5. I did not listen to any live tracks, except Stockholm Madness and London Survival.

Supremacy (7/10) - Could have been a good Bond theme. In fact, at some points the song samples the 007 synths.

Madness (9/10) - Faith, Lemon, I Want To Break Free. Bellamy's vocals are beautiful. Solid track.

Panic Station (9/10) - I thought Madness would be the best song of the album, but I was wrong. I absolutely love this track. Tuh tuh tuh, another one bites the dust.

Prelude (7/10) - I tend to listen to Prelude, then skip Survival...

Survival (4/10) - ...because Survival is just over the top and overrated. Moreover, being Olympic Anthem has spoiled the song forever.

Follow Me (5/10) - The Nero involvement is obvious. At the moment, I don't like it.

Animals, Explorers (7/10) - Nothing wrong here.

Big Freeze (8/10) - Great song. Every play makes it better.

Save Me, Liquid State (6.5 /10)- I haven't made up my mind about the Wolstenholme songs yet.

Unsustainable (9/10) - Great lyrical theme, great vocals, great genre.

Isolated System (9/10) - Discovered this one through the Connectome. The lack of a climax disappointed me.
  6. I've had my first listen

I won't be revisiting it anytime soon. Supremacy and Follow Me the standout tracks for me.
  7. I have to say, after the first listen and some re-listens, it was fine, but not as good as I had expected. Madness got my expectations too high. Still some real decent tracks there that are worth it tho.
  8. I've listened through twice and madness is the standout for me. I'm really hoping the repeat listens will do the album justice. Maybe I set my expectations too high.

I have heard of a guy whose brother was working back in 2007 at the same store -pm sent- as a girl who claimed to be best friends with the girlfriend of a guy who has a 256 kbps copy of the leak.

  10. I am serious. As I was when I said NLOTH is my favourite U2 album.

I love the comparison between thermodynamics and a species. My dad and I have been talking for hours about the subject. Moreover, Matt's brief appearance is great, it's just like 'I need your love' in Madness. Finally, me likey classical progressive dubstep.

    You may ban me now.

Ok, will ban you in a minute. Just let me play Unsustainable while I do it

Nah, seriously - opinions are opinions. I just can't like a track where I don't like the musical background and there's no singer, but a voice-over repeating some sentences which I dislike as well (I'm a chemist and I dislike Physics and of course Thermodynamics, which is where Chemistry meets Physics). Unsustainderstandable, huh?
