I agree. It happens to me quite usually with Radiohead setlists, they don't have any cohesion nor coherence. I'm absolutely ok with changing setlists much from night to night, but man, please keep at least some staple songs and positions. Otherwise your shows look like if someone was playing in shuffle mode through their iTunes Radiohead library

    Wanna hear that so badly.
  2. better than playing a little subset of the library in repeat

anyway .. 15 Step, Arpeggi, Kid A, The Gloaming, Separator, Nude, Feral, Idioteque, second encore were exactly there in both last dates, Bloom if it's not 1st is 2nd .. 6 songs have changed more or less

  3. Yes and no. I'd prefer a relative cohesive setlist with some fixed sections and then as many changes as they like between nights. Like Bruce, you know? There are some songs that statistically fall on the same/similar positions night after night. That helps to give cohesion and coherence to the setlists, and make it all seem like a proper tour and not different random setlists without any sense at all
  4. yes i Know Bruce quite well .. and he is probably the best compromise from, lets say. your and my position .. still from night1 and 2 there are lots of changes, much more than Radiohead .. and he's over 150 songs played.
proper tour? it depends what a tour is meant to be .. a theatrical show (sort of musical) on the road (i pull the concept at an extreme) or live concerts on the road?

PS: probably these arguments fit better in PJ thread than Radiohead
  5. It's a strange tour, this Radiohead one.

They are obviously/understandably trying to promote their "new" album (it's almost a year-and-a-half old!!!) so they play the majority of songs from it each night - whether I like it or not.

They do a decent job bringing in their back-catalogue but seem determined to play several songs every night. There are still several classic RH songs that they haven't played even once on this tour (don't worry, I won't list them AGAIN) that would make this tour out of this world.

I am surprised that we haven't seen some sort of broadcast for any of the recent shows - nothing since Bonnaroo (April) if I am correct! What a bummer.
  6. I think we are about to get a broadcast soon. The set they played at Austin City Limits comes on in a couple of weeks, I remember reading. It's a shorter set:

    Bloom
    Little by Little
    The Daily Mail
    Myxomatosis
    Morning Mr Magpie
    The Gloaming
    The Amazing Sounds Of Orgy
    Staircase
    Reckoner
    Weird Fishes/Arpeggi
    Identiki
    Lotus Flower
    There There
    Feral
    Idioteque

    Ecore:
    Skirting On The Surface
    Paranoid Android

What I don't know is if they will broadcast the entire show. It's an interesting set list though

it's interesting you say that because in the beginning of this tour they actually was a general structure of songs laid out every night. for example

Bloom / 15 Step / Morning Mr. Magpie / Weird Fishes / Staircase in the beginning

then "random" songs then back to a main set that was set in stone : Identikit / Lotus Flower / There There / Karma Police / Feral / Idioteque.

then a "random" encore 1 then a static encore 2 with Give Up the Ghost / X / Paranoid Android.

I personally LOVED this setlist structure (not just because I saw a show like this) but it seems that they threw that out the window cuz they got bored with it. Kudos to them for messing with the setlist but I will always prefer the leg 1 setlist structure...

this is the broadcast I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR ALL M LIFE... no floating screens, no huge crowd, just Radiohead and the songs filmed in front of a small audience. I really like that setlist ahaha. I don't know what they'll take out though because every song is soo good <3 :")

I really like this setlist dispite the lack of "I Might Be Wrong" and "Karma Police." Fxxk, why can't these guys "pull a Pearl Jam" and release some/all of their soundboard recordings?
  10. yeah probably the best set of this disliking me tour ... Bologna the day before got Lucky though
  11. Ya saw this one (just discovered at ease recently). Really like that set
  12. dying for the ACL broadcast... I'll be seeing the Black Keys that night so hopefully a torrent of it in HD appears the next day LOL cuz i don't have the channel it airs on
