1. Not bad. I'm currently on the most god awful retail training course which runs for 3 weeks and will hopefully get me a job at the other end. 2 weeks left to go. I'm just praying it pays off. Listening to motivational speeches and getting lessons on first aid are not my idea of a good time, and certainly don't seem like job material...

Anyway, how have you been, Ouromov?
  2. I feel pretty good. I like that school is a bit tougher and more serious. Feels like it has a real purpose now. Takes up quite a lot of time though. Getting up around six every day now, so not much time to stay up and chat here anymore. But it's nice making new friends, getting to know people, that stuff. Fun times.

Today I've been playing All I Want Is You on guitar a lot. A little more time tomorrow and I shall be nailing every note of it. I actually very rarely learn songs... It usually bores the shit out of me (Alex is like this too), but today I felt like learning a full song, solo and all that shit. Dad who always asks for full songs like that will be happy, lol.
  3. When dad comes home from California tomorrow that is. I've spent the entire week being jealous of him going there as a work thing. I want a job with travels like that too.
  4. Despite your busy schedule, we still appreciate your dropping in now and then.

That's currently my dream goal. I'm not quite sure how I'm going to achieve it yet, but a job with all expenses paid travel is the ultimate.
  5. Hello Kieran and Tim!
  6. That can be a perk of being a journalist

Retail training course, you say? I've been through some of the kind of training. "This is how you climb up a ladder" and all that shite.

Hello Olof and Ross! And Tim too
  7. I also reread Fools Rush In this week. Still such an amazing book. Now I've lent it to a girl in my class who's Bosnian. I wonder what she'll think of it.
  8. Oh, you have no idea. Monday: Boring manager bastard lecturing me about how marketing works. Tuesday: Cancelled first aid course. YAY day off. Wednesday: Five hour lecture on how to move a cardboard box from one side of a room to the other. Thrsday and Friday: "Confidence building". Translated into English: Bat shit.

    Hello all.
  9. The only thing out of those things that I haven't been taught it first aid. Moving the cardboard box lesson is the most patronising thing ever.
  10. Lol, moving a box? Lift with your legs, not your back. Lesson over.

  11. There's more to it when you work in retail, apparently.
