1. Fantastic. I probably would've discarded that photo and not given it any thought.
  2. Me too, but these tricks only work on decent camera's. Seems that my camera DID capture the dynamics in the cloud but with little contrast.

Just compress the levels and it gets more visible =D Had to manually remove the car, but even I can get around with a black brush
  3. Few more in the same style

    Not as extreme:

  4. Second one is just...wow.

I took this one tonight, just glanced out of the kitchen window at my parent's house and saw it:

Had to take it through the window though because if you go outside, you're a good half a metre lower and you couldn't really see through the trees.
  5. Thanks Tim, yours is awesome as well. Smoke is crispy sharp, like the fine grain in shots like these

  6. Amazing pictures Risto

    Same goes to you Tim

And I'll be heading to NYC again in 10 days, and my family gave me some money as a birthday gift...with the money I've been saving through some years, I'll be able to get a new camera. The doubt is: Canon 60D or Canon T4i? Really can't choose one by this moment...

    Take care guys
  7. That's GREAT Aidan I know you'll have tons of fun!

Regarding the camera... I suppose you have compared them already, but more opinions can never hurt:

I'd personally take the T4i because of the price, the auto-focus in the video mode and being significantly lighter (575 vs 750gr), but I don't know how much video do you record (if any), and the 60D seems to be a little more equiped in terms of pure photograpy. Also, T4i's touchscreen is a nice feature and is always cool to have something different, but touchscreens are harder to take care and more expensive to repair/replace if they break. Anyway both are amazing, and you'll choose the right one I'm sure
  8. Thanks Aidan, sounds amazing that trip. Dont know either cameras but i am sure you will pick the right one
  9. Really thanks for the links Sergio. The first one was very usefull!

I still have no sure about wich one I'll get, but T4i is growing on me because of it's new image processor and the possibility of makinf great videos. I'm not into videos right now, but I have some plans to film my flight when I start working as a pilot, so this is a good reason to buy the T4i, but it was already a reason to buy my Canon PowerShot S100, wich works really well...So let's see...I still have some days to think about it.
