1. Fabian, I disagree. Are charts all that matters, REALLY?!?! They positively know that Stockholm Syndrome and Plug In Baby are possibly and probably the songs that fans enjoy the most at their concerts together with Time Is Running Out and Knights Of Cydonia! Regardless of how they charted, they SHOULD NOT drop them. They have a lot of other songs to drop/rotate, like Starlight and Suppermassive for example.
  2. Toronto date. Hell Yes. This guy is excited.
  3. Apart from Liquid State really like the new album. Think there's some strong stuff on there, esp Supremacy, Madness, Animals and the 2nd Law suite

I have put it to rest in the last few days, will pick it up again tomorrow (with the lyrics in front of me and the guitar in my hands, best way to properly enjoy an album for me ), but Supremacy and Animals are the highlights for me as well.

  5. Hehehe I was banking on some comment like that, of coarse I knew thats how you felt

I strongly disagree. These gigs are not about what the fans like, but about what potential fans will like. So indeed, charts are all that matters. One of these shows has been broadcast on Dutch national radio. Radio stations will broadcast two hours of pop songs like Starlight and Madness, but not two hours of the heavy rock songs.

I think this debate is very similar to the one we recently had in the 'U2 Beginner CD topic'. Bullet The Blue Sky is a great song, but shouldn't be put on such a CD, because it is simply not accessible enough for an 'untrained U2 listener'.

Moreover, I think that a Muse fan will be satisfied anyways after a concert, whether Plug In Baby has been played or not. Some of you almost make it sound like blasphemy...

Finally, just like I said in my previous post, these are promo gigs, not world tour gigs. I am sure that the songs you like the most will be played later on.
  7. Believe me (and I am a hard-die Muse fan and I adore them beyond words): I would/will NOT be satisfied if they play a setlist like that (a.k.a. without Plug In Baby or Stockholm Syndrome or New Born or MOTP, and finishing with Starlight+Survival) at my show.
  8. Decent Setlists for promo gigs. They serve their purpose.
  9. I'm not complaining about the promo setlists themselves, I'm just moaning/fearing that they can become the core of the tour setlists
