1. Football is indeed a great sport.
  2. Stone at the Mariners, is that the only pro sport team currently in Seattle?
  3. Seahawks
  4. Ah yeah, it was the supersonics that were discontinued
  5. They used to have a hockey team - back in the 1970's - but now Seattlites have to travel to Vancouver to see an NHL game.

Pearl Jam doesn't seem to have too many connections to ice hockey, although I'll bet EV is a Chicago Black Hawks fan.
  6. if i'm not wrong, i read somewhere that Edmonton Oilers are thinking of the option to relocate in Seattle
  7. the only PJ connection to NHL i've found hehe

  8. Ah, well done, Ron. The celebration of the return of an NHL team to the city. Great version of "Daughter" played at this show, by the way. It ends with BOTH "WMA" and "It's Okay" tags.

If I recall correctly, during the 2005 Quebec City show, EV makes reference to the loss of the Quebec Nordiques - who have been in Denver (as the Colorado Avalanche) since 1996.

  9. It'd be even worse for the city of Edmonton than when Gretzky left for LA back in 1998.

Messier would eventually leave Edmonton as well to play for the Rangers at MSG - a favourite stomping ground of PJ.
  10. BIG day fro PJ purchases for me:

    1. Was in Best Buy at lunch and saw "Touring Band 2000" for sale ($13) - grabbed it.

    2. My "PJ 2012" army t-shirt arrived today - while I was at home from work. As a result, my wife did not see it so now she cannot tease me about it (until she's sees me wearing it, of course.)

    3. ...and Norway is available!
  11. I'll buy that tomorrow if that's okay. Getting a bit late here.
  12. No rush, Olof. Really.

To be honest, I've only taken the time to listen to the Stockholm show once - it deserves more attention than that! I'm sure you would agree.
