  1. I (well, my wife) recently had photos done of our kids....not really necessary information here. However, I mention it because we received a CD containing all the pics from the photographer and also somehow put one of the pictures on its surface - and it wasn't some sort of sticker. Anyway, it got me wanting to be able to do something like this for some of the CD's I burn. You know, to make them look....nice...professional. Assuming I can get a hold of the CD art (or create something myself), what programs could I use?

    Am I making any sense here?

    I'm not sure if any new methods are around for this, but a couple of years ago, to do this you needed a printer that can print on CDs, then the printer also had a program for it. I have a Canon MP500 which does this. You will also need special CDs with printable surface.

    You're making perfect sense. As Ali pointed out, you need a printer that's able to print on printable CDs. The result of home-printed CDs can vary from staggeringly amazing to staggeringly awful. And that print-on material can be pretty expensive on general shops.

    My advice: you're best getting it printed at a photocopy shop/room for you, rather than doing it yourself

    Maybe I'll have to head down to Staples and see what they can do for me.

  8. Excellent ones. A little too big and heavy to my liking but they surely sound like gold. I tested them last week while I was searching for something to replace my Sennheiser HD 201, which are good but not quite good enough.

    I've decided that I like the Sennheiser PCX-250II, with active noise cancellation and super compact design (just perfect for travel, which is mostly when I listen to music).     They're peaking around 95-105€ here so a 2 months 50 quid save and I'll be fine.

    Certainly big but they are for around the house so no biggie. Not picky with out and about earphones now as in not listening to much music when I'm out. Addicted to audiobooks.

    Yeah, I would def get them for the domestic use, but I mostly use speakers when at home.
