1. Sign me up for a second time in Sweden. Would probably be in Stockholm, although I wouldn't mind Gothenburg, my home town, one more time. I still often have moments when I remember stuff from the shows, especially that second night. My friends are getting a bit tired of hearing about it.
  2. the other day (16) Little Stevie was honored as "Big Man of the Year" by the nonprofit organization Little Kids Rock at Hammerstein Ballroom, New York

I thought to myself i'll be brave i'll see what the btx bunch are saying about this (i know i've only myself to blame). According to a lot of them this will 'be the last tour ever' (hang on, he's already said on stage this year that they are never going to stop), that 'ticket sales are slow' in the US' (really that's why a lot of gigs show as sold out on the official site is it), there will be no australian shows as the deal 'fell over' (think they mean fell through, god they can't even get that right), there will be 'asian shows' (if it's outside japan it'll be a first and haven't they got him doing a lot of travelling for someone they claim is ready for calling it a day), And apparently 'they'll never play blood brothers again' (not sure why that came into the discussion but didn't we have the same with jungleland).

Anyway, always one to try to see the positives, the best thing about rock in rio and any other south american gigs for the rest of us could be tv coverage. Rock in rio is always on tv and argentinian tv always seems to get big gigs on tv - probably offsetting some of the costs of putting the show on in the first place for the artist.

Roll on the resumption of the tour tomorrow, i'm going for a shock opener - tunnel of love.
  4. i can't really see Bruce staying off the stage for looong even more forever .. no way that it'll happen
he should spend every single day with Patti hehe

"Jon, I want you to call up Bill Gates or whoever is behind this thing and float this: A red, white, and blue iPod printer signed by Bruce "the Boss" Springsteen. Now remember, no matter how much money he offers, don't take it!"

  8. quite "normal" show in Ottawa the other day

The request section didn’t turn up at this show, but Bruce did grab one card for the first encore song. "Nobody ever requests this!” he shouted, revealing to the crowd "Queen of the Supermarket." Still laughing, he leaned over to the woman who had provided the request, who revealed that she was "Caroline from Sobeys" (Sobeys is a venerable supermarket chain in Canada). He dismissed E Streeters from the stage because "the band doesn't know it" and spent about a minute reminding himself of the changes on the acoustic — then he nailed it, even throwing in the ad libbed line "She's waiting at Sobeys...." It would be interesting to see if Sobeys gets a sales bump in Ottawa this weekend.
