Haha man, the things I would do to have seen that FF show. Nothing would have been out of limit. Anything you can imagine, I would have done for a ticket to a show like that. Man, I nearly like them more than U2.
Yeah i remember you saying about winning them in a radio promo thing i think? Lucky bastard. That would be the best. I got to see a somewhat small FF show last year, counted as a WLT warm up, but they still played to 10K people.. Ahh well. Black Keys in less than a week now, and Matchbox Twenty in a week tonight. Got something to look forward to.
I would really enjoy seeing Matchbox Twenty, but that won't come around the US til February or so, I think Thomas said. Also, I really hope they don't do arenas here and they stick to clubs. It'd be tough for them to really sell out an arena, I really think....plus club shows are obviously so much better. How are your seats for MB20?
Pretty good. I got gold seats, so reasonably close on the side of the stage I think. I haven't really checked for ages. They tried to do two arena shows here in Brisbane, 15K total capacity per show.. They haven't even sold one show out and ALL the remaining tickets are half price. I guess that's what happens at the start of the tour with a poor performing single and new album.. ESPECIALLY IN AUSTRALIA. Saw them last tour and they played the same venue two nights in a row, all sold out. Was front row for that one. Funny how things change
I can't get into it. To me it just sounds like they tried to write a song similar to that new Maroon 5 one to get radio airplay/club play etc. I cannot fault MB20s previous work though. Some of it is some of the best stuff to come out of the last two decades IMO.
I WON the tickets to see FF, it was just pure stroke of luck!
