It's amazing to me that this is their first year of being nominated for the R&R HoF. These guys should have been put in there long ago.

    Yeah, yeah. I'm biased.
  2. Interestingly enough, there has JUST been a Rush documentary on TV over here, my dad called me and told me see & hear them for a while. It turned out that he has like 6 albums of them and all.

It surprises me even more so how many people have never heard of Rush. I must check out some of their stuff, been told of them for about a year or so now and every time I go to check them out - I don't. I'm going to listen to the very first album right now and let you know what I think. This could be great.

Therefore it's Rush Time. And why they stuck Madonna and the Jacksons in the RRHoF I'll never understand. Are either of those remotely even rock? Really.

As for what bands I have seen - last one was Steel Panther. Let me tell you this. If you don't mind some rated language mixed in with some great hard rock / metal, awesome crowds, the 80s hair metal scene and just a generally fun show - get on it.

I've heard their setlists this tour have been very deep-cut heavy, but that they're also playing with a live string section, so it could end up being quite a unique experience.

Saw them back in 07 or 08, somewhere around then. You'll have to let me know how they are now- back then they were still quite a powerhouse live.
  5. Whigs last night were great, btw. Left out a couple key favorites (Uptown Again, My Enemy, Crime Scene) but they're doing two nights so it's understandable.

Front row, got one of Greg's picks, a setlist, had my arm around him when he jumped down into the crowd, etc, etc
  6. Made a last minute decision yesterday to see The Coronas from Ireland. They've played the small room in Paradiso, but are playing the Olympia and the O2 in Ireland. I can only advise to see them when they're nearby or check them out on youtube. They're very good, highly recommended.
  7. The Cranberries made a pleasant concert nothing special but quite good.
Dolores still knows how to stay on stage and with her amazing voice still there.

Fuck you. I'll go hug my setlist from the festival this summer.

So it wasn't a Disappointment, although you didn't enjoy it As you used to ?

I don't have any concert scheduled for 10 days until I see The Gaslight Anthem and I feel like my life is seriously lacking something
  10. no there wasn't Disappointment (not played in fact hehe) .. i saw better concerts of course but also worse

And it more than delivered. Fantastic night.
  12. Good to hear, Tim! That's a great band, right there.

Tomorrow: Snow Patrol / Noel Gallagher
