1. Download uTorrent - the best one as Gerard mentioned - http://www.utorrent.com/download.php

Install it as you would normally. Then click Start > Run and type winver - it should say what one you're using. Or just type it in the box if you're using Vista. Tell us what you're using from that unless you know already - maybe you're using Linux or a Mac? If a black box came up with some sort of weird letters and flashed off, then try this one.

    http://sarwat.net/bittorrent/ for Mac (Tomato)
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/btplusplus/ for Linux (BitTorrent+)
    http://www.utorrent.com/download.php for Windows (uTorrent)

    http://download.utorrent.com/1.7.5/utorrent.exe
That's called a DOS run execute failure. Get one of them and it won't work but that's the most stable one.

    http://u2torrents.com/download.php/2318/2005.03.14%20-%20Hall%20of%20Fame%20Induction.torrent
Right click this .torrent link and save. Then start downloading by clicking OK in uTorrent. It should start.

If not go back to u2torrents and ask about configuring firewalls and routers. I don't really deal with torrents hugely but that's the basics on how it works.

Did your computer shut off or did the torrent program? You may have had a Win32 failure - this means the program either has a virus, doesn't work with 64bit or wasn't compiled correctly from the code.
  3. the program just stoped working
  4. Maybe it's your Firewall?

If he's using the basic Windows firewall (which many people do), then it's likely to be shutting him out. He'd need to allow uTorrent to start which can be done like this:

Click Start > Control Panel > Windows Firewall
From the Windows Firewall, click the Exceptions tab
Click Add Program and in the list choose the torrent program, click it and press OK.
Then tick the box that says "Display notification when program blocked" and press OK.

Then try it. He'll have to check his documentation for any other firewalls as they're all different.

"It just shut down on me" really isn't the best to work upon. Give us some more to work with.

  8. a DVD is too large to post here. It would be over 40 rapidshare links and it would take an age. If your having trouble with torrents try your luck over on iwillfollowu2.com. Ask nicely if someone could upload the DVD and have some patience and you may be rewarded.
  9. ok cool thanks for the help
