1. LOL.....take her to see DMB 12.07.12 in Toronto,Air Canada Centre...Im telling you Matt..they are great..Im goin 4 times to see them this winter, (11.30,12.01 NJ,12.22 BROOKLYN !!..12.22 Philly...)..woo hoo..lol.....but my wife likes Cornell..maybe she wants to run off with him ??..lol..she does say his voice is sick strong..which,it is...
  2. I mentioned it to her but she declined. She's not a very big concert-goer. Admittedly (at least compared to you, but who is? ) neither am I. I've seen some great shows by some BIG bands but altogether I've probably only been to about twenty major shows in my life.
  3. Declined ????? What ?? how dare she.....lol

Yes,I have always been..a bit...over the top I guess with my bands,as far as seeing them in concert..no question.....lol
  4. Did you ever see (or want to see) Nirvana? About how many times have you seen Soundgarden? Alice in Chains? Other bands from that genre/era?

Respectively to your taste in "other" music, I wasn't too disappointed that she didn't to go.

One of my students is going.
  6. I saw Nirvana ar the Roseland Ballroom..07.23.93..place was nuts..I thought PJ were better during this period, and I didt like what Cobain wa saying about PJ,so I was a bit biased....and I thought Cobain acted like a bit of a dick most of the show..I actually like Foo Fighters a hell of alot more..and they should be added to this list here...
  7. I saw AIC yes..I have to look at my stubs..I loved them back in the day, more than Nirvana actually...
  8. I'm kicking myself for not seeing Nirvana back in 1993. It would have been a stretch back then but should have gone.

Which leads me to my top five concerts that I wish I went to, considered going to but in the end did not...

    1. U2/Elevation Tour - technically three possible shows (Toronto, Buffalo, and Hamilton) but for a different reason in each case, all were failures on my part.
    2. Radiohead/Toronto 2008 - no tickets, no one to go with, new kid, was out of time the morning of, ...I still should have found a way.
    3. PJ/Toronto 2011 (N2) - no need to rehash this one
    4. Soundgarden/ Toronto 2011 - I will remove this from the list if I get tickets for one (and, yes Ed, just one) of the January shows
    5. Nirvana/Toronto 1993

There have been other shows I wish I went to (PJ, Oasis, and Radiohead 2000 come to mind) but I never considered going to them.
  9. Quick, Ed or Ron....or anyone else who's had experience with ticketmaster:

There are two shows about to go on sale for Soundgarden in Toronto. I'm only going to one - assuming I can get tickets. Which show will I most likely be able to get a ticket for during the presale? In other words, in your experiences, which show do most people go for first: night 1 otr night 2? The shows are both on the weekend (Friday/Saturday) so the day of the week shouldn't play much of a role here. I'm, obviously, trying to take the road less travelled here.

PS: I can appreciate that night 2's are usually better than night 1's but I'm not going to be picky about that here.
  10. I'm eagerly anticipating UK dates. I'll be all over them when they are released.

Ed, I'm unbelievably jealous of you. I don't care if I wasn't even born at the time, I'm still jealous.
  11. i'm not that much used with 2 nights at the same venue announced and sold at the same time; usually N2 comes out 1 week later more or less (see U2 in 2009).
i'd say N1 should be sold more and quickier ... but in this case being N2 a saturday (not a working day right?) could be a more comfortable day for who come away from Toronto
  12. You were right, Ron. When I tried to get tickets for Night 1, they were sold out by 10:04. (They went on sale at 10:00.)

Good thing I just got two tickets for Night 2 at 10:01!!!!

    YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
