1. That's a good point, Matt, never thought about that.

To be honest I'd rather have a new album too. These things along with the remasters are great, but they're all things to tide you over. Nothing is more exciting than new material.

It's funny how I can go weeks or months without listening to U2, or maybe hearing a song here or there when my iPod is on shuffle, but then something happens and all I want to listen to is them!

    Me, too.

I don't think it's abnormal to need something (anything!) like a new release or reissue to rekindle an interest/obsession in a band.

    New material and a tour!

    NLOTH made me so happy.

  5. Admittedly, when I first heard about U22 I was quite excited. Then time passed and I wondered if I really need to spend $50 (first-time member) on 22 songs. The answer eventually and obviously was "yes" once I saw the final list. I type all of this to simply state that I probably won't order it until I've seen the final list.

But I will order it. I just can't pull the trigger yet.

  6. Truth. Proof:

First copies of From The Ground Up: U2.com Music Edition will be dispatched next month but we don't want to keep you waiting that long - we're releasing some bonus U2360° downloads just for subscribers - tracks which aren't on U22 or Edge's Picks.
  7. I think the downtime is good because it reminds us (me) that there are other good bands in the world aside from U2. (So excited to see The Killers in a month!)

Also, I brought my epic speaker system from home with me to San Diego, so I can finally rock out to songs in amazing quality!

I apologize to my apartment mates in advance for rocking out at 8am.

WORD FOR WORD AGREE. I've had an amazing time delving into other bands and genres. And I just bought these epic speakers as well and have been enjoying listening to music WITHOUT headphones (I think I was slowly killing my ears )

I hope we get Crazy Tonight if it has a Discotheque snippet

You know how every office has that one guy that complains about everything, and when he finally shuts up, there's that other guy who complains about his complaining so much, that he ends up being worse than the complainer in the first place?

    Welcome to self-parody Itim.
  10. I don't think we will be getting Crazy Tonight. We already have it from Artificial Horizon and Wide Awake In Europe.
  11. Maybe we'll get Crazy (not the remix version)from Barcelona 2.
SBS is on duals so I don't think that one will be on the disc
