On 15 April 2011, Gotovina was found guilty on 8 of the 9 counts of the indictment and sentenced to 24 years of imprisonment.[4] He was convicted of "committing war crimes and crimes against humanity, including murder, deportation, persecution and inhuman acts", and the Presiding Judge Alphons Orie cited several distressing witness testimonies in the decision.[60]

I know there were several militias active in the area, from all sides. Its one of the reasons lots of the information we have of that war is tampered or incomplete.
We all saw the 'fake concentration camp' photo, it has been acknowledged that militias were supplied with arms from Sebrenica and that they were committing war crimes to neighbouring serbian villages. The whole war was a complete mess.
Maybe this verdict is just, but nobody should deny that the whole situation is looked at from 1 way.
For example, the whole Krajina was mostly populated by Serbians (far above 80 %). They were first forced to live in a country they didnt want to live in, and later not allowed to seperate on the same merits the Croatian population was allowed. Same goes for now for RS in Bosnia and parts in Kosovo.
Again, I am only saying that there has been inconsistensies in policy. If we are not supposed to judge croatians for the one of the greatest single act of genocide of the war. Why should we punish serbians civilians in the Krajina, RS or Kosovo for ?
And no I am not Serbian. The fact is that it was an unneccesary war with too many blood shed for no good reasons. Luckily Macedonia was lucky to get independence without hassle.
