1. I read the comments in this thread and had to laugh at the quote at the bottom of the page ;

    "We don't make pop music for mass airplay. We're doing something a little bit different that gathers up literary, art and sonic ideas." - Adam Clayton, 2009

    Sorry funny thought had to share.
  2. Personally I dont care what they put as long as it sounds good to me,
    It is U2, they can sing the alphabet and I would still buy their CD and know I like most of it and the sound.
  3. U2 should watch Coldplay Live 2012. Chris says something amazing that I think Bono should take to heart. He says something along the lines of "we've stopped thinking about the people who don't like us and started to appreciate the people who do like us."

    U2 would NEVER follow that mantra. For them it would feel like giving up the struggle of being the best they can be....

    I actually find it really interesting that Chris said that, Mylo to me is their weakest album IMO OF COURSE. But for them it feels like their best!?!? WTF? I think this comes from that one quote directly, they've stopped "fighting" for a new audience and are playing for their fanbase already. And probably the fanbase from Viva they picked up as well.I mean not a problem but the reason I bring it up is because I DON'T want U2 to be playing for "us" I want them to keep the genre changes, the fighting, the struggling, I really don't want them to surrender to the mainstream, THEY NEED TO FUCK UP THE MAINSTREAM AGAIN XD (or at least try)

  5. I think Mylo Xyloto is their best since A Rush of Blood.
  6. Gonna rename this topic to Latest Coldplay News/Sightings, give me a minute!
  7. There will me more to post about

  8. LOL SOO TRUE @_______@

    IS THIS EVEN A U2 FORUM ANYMORE LOL it looks more like a Muse/Coldplay/Radiohead/Snow Patrol/Aaron's lovelife/Technology forum with the occasional U2 bootleg discussion thrown in AHAHAHA

  10. Agreed. Though by fucking up the mainstream I hope that they are in the mainstream. I have started watching/rewatching the series Smallville and in the first season (which aired in 2001 I think) both Elevation and Beautiful Day were played. I think U2 needs to get their songs out to everywhere so people can hear them in different places: radio, commercials, TV shows etc.
