1. Really nice version of Desire imo

  2. Basically, the number refers to the amount of bits processed per second. The higher the number, the more information there is to process which in turn provides better sound quality/clarity. As you convert down, you lose more information which provides increasingly more noticeable degradation. So a 64kbps track will sound terrible because a lot of the original information has been lost through compression compared to a 320kbps track where less information has been lost.
  3. But for the human ear it's almost impossible to hear a difference between 320 kb/s mp3 to a lossless file....

  4. That's what i thought during a long period...

One day one friend made me compared some Depeche Mode, the same song (in mp3 320 and wav cd), on a very good HIFI system and played it loud, and i "felt" the difference... my body got more vibrations inside (like you are in stadium with live band, in front of loudspeakers) with the no compressed song, rather than mp3 320... you can feel the difference with the "dynamic"...

BUT I'm OK to admit that you'll have to hear on good material and loud to get a difference

I agree. you can definitely "feel" the difference when played on a good sound system or through good headphones. I listen to a bulk of my music through Beats by Dre headphones and with those you can defintely feel the music more. The sounds somehow seem more vibrant, bass seems richer and everything just seems a lot clearer and powerful. Just my 2 cents.
  6. it reminds me an advert when i was a teenager, in the mid 80's:
  7. oh god dear old MC hehe
  8. And in the shock of the year: I don't really hate the Pride remix all that much. I will likely never listen to it again, but one reason this was the huge surprise is the fact that so many fans on here and at the 360 shows heaped so much praise on the Crazy Remix. The incredible amount of love that it got made U2 believe it was Maroon 5, and believe that any song could be remixed. They likely have started work on Bad(Fish Drowning In Tainted Water Mix)

Here we go again with the terrible Fish Out Of Water "jokes"...
  10. Got my U22 and ZooTV CDs here in Melbourne today

Apparently FTGU is being shipped separate...

  11. That makes sense. They said it wouldn't be shipped until December, so I would be surprised if people were getting it now.
  12. i'm starting getting kinda frustrated at U2's business-like ways of milking a 3 year old tour, and with no sight of any future plans for what's coming next (studio album? new tour?)

"the U2.com members' pick" (U22) and now "Edge's pick"

    what's next?

"Adam's choices", then "Larry's best drum tracks", "Paul McGuiness' best profite songs", "the lightning rig man's top ten lighthing songs" etc etc
