1. It was a damn good tour.

U22 was a genius move. The fans (us) wanted them to release more live material, so instead of having U2.com pick, we got a chance to choose.

Partnering Edge's Picks along with FTGU also makes sense because it's more live material (selected by Edge this time). Also, don't forget about the bookmarks and lithographs that will be coming with this one. Considering the fact that there aren't many tracks left from the original set after U22, Edge's Picks, and the bonus tracks, I think this will be the last of them.

Regarding the new album/tour, if you've kept up with what the band has been talking about and recognize that the band is human, it would come as no surprise that the album isn't ready yet. Back when they had wrapped up the tour and were talking about the new album, I had already suggested that we shouldn't expect anything new until mid 2013 anyhow. Stop being so impatient.
  2. Not sure how many other people renewed with the full 'bundle' pack... but I got the extra copies of U22 and Zoo TV 2-CD today. Not bad considering it was less than a month ago and I live in Australia - usually last for things to get all the way down the yellow brick road....

"the U2.com members' pick" (U22) and now "Edge's pick"

    what's next?

"Adam's choices", then "Larry's best drum tracks", "Paul McGuiness' best profite songs", "the lightning rig man's top ten lighthing songs" etc etc

Keep Milking it i say, if there's more to give from that tour i'll gladly take it, better than Duals, Rare and Remastered , Artificial Horizon type cds, if there's nothing new to give then im happy with old live material.

I remember hearing North Star, Every Breaking Wave and Glastonbury in 2010. We all know there is gonna be a studio album and a tour. We don't know when. I am fine with that. Bono could announce a new album, but no-one even believes him anymore. After the Pop debacle, it seems a wise decision to stay calm about a new album.

However, I don't see how this has anything to do with subscribers gifts. What did you expect? The new album exclusively for subscribers? These gifts will always be focused on the past, that's inevitable.

I think they should go even further back...

Because we ALL know there's a mixed recording of Bad/The First Time from Chicago 2005-9-21 on some laptop or disc drive at U2.com's administrative offices...

*ehem U22 Vertigo Tour for next year please*

    Boring.

I did like Rare and Remastered, Artificial Horizon and U22. U2.com should continue the unreleased > remix > live cycle. Three years live in a row will do no good.

2013 could be unreleased (Return of the Stingray Guitar?) and 2014 could be remixes of the new album. In 2015 they will be touring, perfect for a live CD.
  7. what about taking some days for an easy recording session pulling out something .. covers, improvs, live sessions or whatever .. i know some bands do it .. sort of

Because they'd get slated by the online communities.
  9. People are never happy.
"Boo hoo they released Party Girl and Fast Cars (Jack whatever remix) for the 5th time, I want live material"

"Boo hoo, they released a high quality live compilation with tracks chosen by fans and then the tracks not chosen in anothe compilation, I want new material!!"

Btw I had a dream where Edge appeared and told me that MOTD isn't in the CD hut would be released as an extra. Hahaha. Funny stuff

lovely I guess us guessing MOTD was so annoying to him he's using some dark magic stuff to let us know we're wrong
  11. U2 - Desire (360º Tour live from Perth, Australia - Multicam HD) [From the Ground Up's Audio]

Again, there's not so many good videos to do a multicam, but, this is my best. It's the only time that this song was played on the tour in 2010. This version comes on 2012/2013 U2.COM Subscribes, From the Ground Up.
  12. Combined U22 & Sydney Zoo package received in Finland today. There was a despatch date of November 26th mentioned on the package. Based on my past experiences six working days air mail trip from US to Finland is not bad at all. So I guess there still are some possibilities for having the Ground Up set in our hands for Christmas. Even though I'm pretty sure these won't actually be mailed until 2013.

Interesting note that the cardboard package was actually ripped open at the top and taped afterwards... There was no notice of custom act but still everything was intact. Are they really doing such a procedure to insert the Zoo cd's into an already sealed U22 packages...?
