1. Let's just close everything but The Walrus Appreciation Topic.

    - Song Survival
    - Album of the Day
    - Toplist
    - Annual Elections
    - What are you currently listening to?
    - Best debut album
    - My band: Twisted Planet
    - You Too: Which of these 2012 albums is your favourite?

Because things you cannot prove cannot be discussed.

You want proof that shows which song we're listening to?
  3. Well, all I wanted to say is already said. U2 is the best band in the world for me. No other band...and I listen to many others...can do the same things that U2 does for me.
I also agree with Fabian's point about U2's catalog - it really is like that for me too, my days feel like going through different U2 eras...sometimes I'm in a Joshua mood, others is a ZooTV mood, etc...some days are better than others

  4. I am trying to illustrate what when subjective things are irrelevant, there are very few things left to discuss.

I don't see why the topic would be completely irrelevant with bands like Coldplay, Muse and The Killers around while U2 is about to retire...

We could discuss why we love U2, why U2 hasn't had a big hit recently, which bands are better at what, et cetera. I was expecting a lot more resistance.
  5. Ontopic: Does anyone think U2 should follow Muse's example and innovate further in order to stay/get back on the top? For example: should they consider synthpop (like Undisclosed), more heavy rock (like Supremacy) or dubstep influences (like Follow Me)?
  6. definetely .. no, no, no

Why not? I think it could be cool! Then again I'm in the minority who would love to hear their "dance inspired" stuff. Their lyrics and Edge's guitar mixed in with popular dance music today could be awesome. Something different really since these current songs lack deep lyrics.
  8. Last time they did it Achtung Baby was the result.

This sums it up for me.
