For the first two weeks (or any other timeframe) we take a photo uploaded by a member and edit it, as we have done. Then for the next round, we take part in a themed photography challenge similar to that on the Digital Photography School website.
I think it would give us a good opportunity to go out (or stay in) and focus our cameras either at something we don't usually shoot (landscape for instance) or use our eyes to look for something specific that we'd usually ignore (a specific colour or shape). Then, we can gather around in the other topic and discuss composition/settings etc - offer constructive feedback to each other.
I think it might help to stop the topic falling away whilst it's just the few of us.
