1. Always nice to hear his voice...and it's pretty strong too! So what's the event?
  2. Why are people laughing throughout the whole thing? As far as I can tell he's just singing and reading the lyrics?

Good performance though, gotta love Bono's growl
  3. That's a great performance!!! Thanks for posting.

I think there was some dinner/party going on in the background, hence the laughs.
  5. According to U2Tour:

A fan said he had met The Edge in Dublin and Edge told him, that next tour will be indoor with 360°-stage - hope he's right #u2 #u2014

  6. That would be awesome, but the big outer circle should be dropped in that case.

Also shows they don't know what to do next, as every tour had something unique so far...

Also, I think it's great that they're not trying at all to top the 360 setup and are going for a more standard stage&tour idea. The 360 won't be topped ever -or at least not by U2 themselves- so there's no point in doing lame attempts. Do a standard stage tour with loads of great music and have your fans happy. Quoting Bono himself, "Rock and roll. That's all folks!".

If you are implying Elevation and Vertigo were the same thing: Elevation had the 'inner cicle' as unique feature and Vertigo the tennis balls.

Agree on your topping 360 speech.
  9. I was speaking about your "they should drop the outter ring" point - I don't agree. Being inside the circle is something truly special, I can tell from the two 360 shows I attended. And it should be even more special in a smaller venue (=smaller ring). And I just posted two pics from their latest indoor tours to prove they might agree with me
  10. I don't think 360 can ever be topped. Given all the stadium tours going on, none of them even come close to 360. MX is unique for those wristbands, but as far as the stage was concerned, it's your typical stadium tour stage.

Also, I'd say that Elevation and Vertigo were VERY similar from a stage perspective. The major difference was in the LED curtains, which was genius and I think should make a comeback.

But yeah, I like the move. Bring the shows indoors with the 360 aspect, which should (in theory) increase capacity just as the outdoor 360 format did. I'd stand in the queue all day to do GA if they do an arena tour.

I think the outer circle would make the stage too complex for an arena tour. Moreover, the 360 Tour wasn't really 360. I sat at the back and got about 5% attention, if not less. Dropping the outter ring would make it real 360.
  12. Don't get your complexity point... That's what I was trying to say, the Elevation and Vertigo tours had outter rings too. . . .
