1. A Kick In The System - Twisted Planet

  2. I'm surprised Bleach by Nirvana is on Amazon's list. It's a good album but is by no means great. It was nothing special, really.

Appetite for Destruction that far down, though? Not impressed.

you should move The Doors album under the "<70s" section ..
and there The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn would make a good impression

Bleach has 3 very brilliant songs .. Blew - About A Girl - School and Negative Creep could be over there too .. in the whole it's a very good album; it could be "nothing special" if you put in comparison with Nevermind, but that record came from a parallel dimension

Oops, you're right, I thought it was from 1971 but it's from 1967! My mistake

I was never much of a fan of The Piper, it's a good album but hardly a great debut. Too much psychedelia for my taste
  6. Astronomy Domine and Interstellar Overdrive are great tunes .. the rest can depend on the psychedelic predisposition of each one in fact

I don't compare it to Nevermind at all. It's just a good album, that's all. The production on the album is awful. The drums sound like shit. Those four songs you mentioned are, funnily enough, my favourite songs from the album. The rest for me are a mixed bag.

Fabian, get out. What worries me is that album is currently sitting in my attic...

  8. Boy is an amazing debut album but no way it deserves being nr1, higher than Appettite, Greetings From NJ, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, etc. NO WAY.

    signed, an objective U2 fan.
  9. Recent-ish ones i can think of would be, The Wombats, Two Door Cinema Club, Arctic Monkeys, Florence and the Machine, and The Last Dinosaurs or Deep Sea Arcade.
  10. Boy
    Ten
    Bleach
    Murmur
    Led Zeppelin
    Greeting from NJ
