1. He was acting very natural, got a real talent indeed. And he actually won a Broadcast Film Critics Association Award as a best young actor, and recieved a couple of other awords as well.
  2. So over Thanksgiving Break I watched quite a few movies.

Skyfall (again) - still just as breathtaking as the first time watching it

Act of Valor - Great movie featuring the ways of the armed forces. It follows a specialized unit on a couple missions against a terrorist cell. Since they used actual soldiers in the film, the terrorists actually have better acting than the soldiers. Recommended film.

Jumanji - An old but amazing film. Highly recommend.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter - A surprisingly entertaining film, based entirely on historical fact (/sarcasm). I really like the acting and cinematography of it. Seriously, go watch your favorite president slay vampires to save the Union.
  3. I just saw skyfall
  4. Lawless. Good show but it could have did with another half hour I felt. It all ended a little bit too swiftly.
  5. Yesterday was Casino Royale, today will be Quantum of Solace, tomorrow will be Skyfall.

Didn't know about it...well deserved in my opinion.

About the movie, it's very deep and I love the way it shows us how people lead with loss and sadness in unique ways.

  7. Good call watching Quantum of Solace shortly after watching Casino Royale.

IMO, the ideal scenario is to watch Quantum of Solace immediately after watching Casino Royale. I feel that doing so lets you appreciate Quantum of Solace more as an extension of Bond's rapid character development in Casino Royale. It also gives you all the action scenes that seemed missing from Casino Royale.

    And Skyfall... so amazing!

But I feel it screws with the Bond timeline. It was accepted that Daniel Craig's Bond was to be Bond at his roots. Casino Royale featured Bond as a fresh 007 agent. The first two movies kept things simple in terms of the gadgets. But Skyfall screws everything up. The Aston Martin DB5, featured in Goldfinger and Goldeneye is brought out of cold storage and even meets its demise in the film. Additionally, Q has a nice quote in which he says that the MI6 doesn't go for exploding pens anymore. There's a nice article that talks about Skyfall being an homage to past 007 films, but I'm sure this will frustrate those who want to put all the movies on a single timeline.

  8. Cloud Atlas

The best movie I've seen this year and one of the best I've ever seen. Masterpiece.

  9. Just watched The Dark Knight Rises

Really awesome action movie! It really makes you feel anxious about the hole story and its end.
  10. Django Unchained.

    Most definitely worth the wait.
  11. just mention Tarantino and i soon start to drool! hehe

  12. Never expected it to be deep, but it is. Truly brilliant film. And fans of The Smiths are gonna love it even more.
