Alright so, due to this threads 4 month (estimate) non-existence I think we should start over and fix up some of the rules. We don't have too but I have some new suggestions to re-vamp this thread
Rules:
Setlists: 4 or less song changes
Changes either bold or marked by some other definitive mark
Setlist order changes Italicized
Must include: date, venue, location, opening act(s) (Don't change every show, only every 10ish shows), U2's set in usual format (Format we've been using), PA song(s)
Optional: Opening Act's set, Articles every few days about the "tour" (I loved these, thought it made it much more interesting, I will write some and I hope everyone else does the same), guest appearences (Every once in a while, and only for regions where the bands are, like INXS in Sydney), tributes (like the Whitney Houston thing from while back, only a few per tour), Album shows (Achtung Baby night), anything else you guys want that will work
Tours must include: Name, AT LEAST 4 legs, theme (Like ZOOTV), Stage setup (Claw), Info. (Arena or stadium etc.), at least 3 Festivals per tour, Stats at end of each leg (I'll do some, others can do the rest)
Optional Tour: Post tour release of a concert
These were the things I thought of, and if anyone agrees, please reply. If you want to keep going just say, but I think these things will re-vamp this thread. If you have any suggestions PLEASE write them in here, I know I forgot some things Also if we did this, I think we should move the dates back, and go to say mid-2013.If you just want to keep going from where we are tell me.
We were doing a (very) long tour with a lot of legs
i think it is hard to know a venue in every place , but not impossible ... making this harder to know i think this maybe be a problem for who want to post....
i´m happy to give more life to this game again !!
Please Cory make a kickoff with this
Legendary band U2 officially announced their new tour today at a press conference in Dublin, Ireland. The band, who's 360 tour was a rousing success, are calling their newest tour the "From The Sky Down" tour after the documentary of the same name. For the tour's first leg, which is being called the "exotic" leg as the band will go to South America, Africa, Australia, China and Japan, the band will split the bill with Depeche Mode and _________. The first leg will start with 4 concerts in 7 nights in Johannesburg, South Africa. It will end with a series of concerts in Sydney, Australia. The first leg of the tour will be a stadium leg. The rest of the tours legs will be announced soon, including the first European leg, which will be announced after the final Johannesburg concert. The final Johannesburg concert will be broadcasted on TV and radio throughout the world. Rumors are swirling that the band has a surprise in store for that night. Before the band starts the first leg on New Year's Eve in Johannesburg, they will make TV appearances on SNL (Three nights from today), The Top of The Pops Christmas show (Via satellite from rehearsals for the Johannesburg shows), and Letterman (Which will include a 12-song set streamed over YouTube). When asked about what songs they will play on the tour, U2 bassist Adam Clayton said, "Everything. Some hits, some rarities, we'll definitely switch it up throughout the tour". The band also said that they had some "surprises" throughout the tour. For the tour, they said the stage would be setup "It will combine some of the things we've done in the past, like the TV's for ZOOTV, and some new things". We have not seen the setup, as it will not be officially revealed until a few nights before the first show. After the first leg, the band will go on to Europe, and then the US. Also, the band is set to headline the 2013 Reading Festival.
You guys get to pick the other opening act
I want the last Johannesburg show, I have some ideas for that one
