  6. First things first, listened to Edge's Picks today, loved it, don't know what hell some of you are bitching about, and I'm usually a stickler about sound editing.

    Second thing, this whole thing just keeps reminding how they have (supposedly) every show from the Zoo days recorded in good quality. Wouldn't it be cool if after they retired they said "We're taking orders for any show after 1991, we'll send you a link to download them and each show is 5 bucks" (taking into account Paul McG would obviously try and cash in on it).

    Also, the only way they could top these two gifts is to release a pro-shot 2011 show next year

    The sound quality on Edge's Picks is generally similar to that of U22, but on some tracks, the superb mixing quality reveals itself quite easily. Some clear examples include Breathe, Boots, and Electrical Storm. However, one thing that is generally apparent is that Edge's Picks appear to be "louder" than U22. When I first played it on iTunes, it wasn't very apparent because I have volume normalization enabled, but in my custom-mixed playlist it's quite a significant volume difference.

    I'll give you that it sounds "mixed", but I take no issue with that. It's an official release and if we didn't get the best we would've complained about that too. I expect nothing less than great quality, so I don't have a huge issue with that. On top of that mixing live stuff properly is more difficult than mixing studio recorded stuff (at least I'd imagine). I will give you the volume difference though, but that's not really a huge issue for me either. I know many around here plan on putting all of the tracks together, but I don't, I think U22 works the way it is as does Edge's Picks, the albums were mixed to blend with the songs that are on them.
