Since I have plans to visit Dublin next time U2 play there, I really wish you the best of luck with your plans Sergio

  2. OF COURSE, darling It's gonna be a really short trip, but just the neccsesary to diminish my Dublin withdrawal AND get my things done for January
  3. Hi Sergio, you're moving to Dublin? You saw my advise many jobs are there for foreign languages
As I also lived there for several years, if you need any advise, please let me know. For housing, buy the Evening Herald, it often has listings for properties to rent. When you start there it's quite normal to share a house with some others. Be aware that you often have to pay a deposit of a month rent when you move in plus month rent in advance.
Which area you're going to work?

YES! I'm hoping to move there in mid-January. Not exactly to Dublin, but Ireland in general - place isn't decided yet Thanks for your advices. I'm looking for properties at websites like www.property.ie and www.daft.ie , they seem to have an updated and extensive catalogue in which I'm basing my predictions
I already have a job here (online customer service and chat moderator at a Spanish bingo website) which I can do from there, so I will have a more-than-decent salary there from the day I arrive, and that's a huge advantage. I'm planning to find a part time job there for the mornings as well in order to be able to save some money and live comfortably. That part time job can be whatever thing crosses my way, from a McDonald's barman to a hotel bellboy, and of course something related with the Spanish language would be suitable and desirable as well.

For the moment I'm just focusing on saving money (failing so far) and start doing more things on my own - it will be my first time ever outside my parent's, so I have to learn everything about running a house haha!

Thanks for the advices, Peter. I surely do have you in my to-contact list just in case something crosses my mind
  5. No problem, just sent me a pm when you need some info.
  6. Hello all

I finally couldn't make it to Dublin last December (despite having flights and hotels booked), but I have some great news instead - I will be there for SAINT PATRICK'S DAY!!! I'll be there from Sat. 16th March to Tuesday 19th, and I will take part in the People's Parade (a big parade with like 8.000 people from every part of the world, part of the St Patrick's celebrations).

I'm happier than happy A whole life waiting to celebrate Paddy's Day in Dublin and it's finally happening... Oh
  7. I'm happy for you and a bit jealous, have a great time, and don't forget to take photos
  8. I'm happy for you too, Sergio! This must the best place to be in the world during this day! I'm sure it will worth the wait!

And I'm going to propose something to you: a trip to Dublin next time our boys play a gig there. I can give you my word I'll be there

    Take care
  9. Of course, thats going to happen Aidan. There is no doubt I will be there
  10. Where in Ireland are you going to settle Sergio?
Pubs are packed on paddy day, but you probably had that idea already
Not sure if they still do big fireworks the evening before
  11. The settlement thing is postponed a few months, this time I'm going only for a few days! When I move permanently to Ireland I will live in the Waterford-Wexford zone
  12. My dear friend, you'll be my guide there for sure! You already know the place where you wann live, so that's enough for me
