that's the mentality that took so maaaannnyyy crap hardly to be called "music" airing everywhere

all i wish is U2 to be back the Artists they used to .. and not showgirls .. i have a little alarm about that

besides keep in mind that Larry is an actor now so he learnt to act
  4. This may sound as complete bullshit, but think of it for a second.

U2 albums are never released in summer. Album were released in February (2), March (2), October (5) or November (3 studio + 3 compilation). Only exception is Zooropa (July 1993) , but that one was released during a tour and no-one does an arena tour during winter.

So why change? A better question would be 'Why always the darker months?'. I think U2 songs are more suitable for the radio during these months. During summer, the big public wants easy music with Spanish lyrics no-one but Sergio understands.

That said, I think U2 is pretty confident they can be relevant this time. A big hit single may be coming up. Not sure if that's a good thing, though.
  5. Edge was boooed when did Macarena in Barcelona if i remember well hehe

  6. I asked myself the same yesterday. I pretty much agree with Fabian above... I would like to see U2 getting a big hit single just for the sake of it and for the sake of hearing our favorite band on tne radio with any song that's been recorded after 1991
  7. In 2010 Bono mentioned three albums (in La Stampa I believe):
    - Ambient album with Eno and Lanois (aka Songs of Ascent)
    - Rock album with Danger Mouse
    - Club album with will.i.am, Guetta and RedOne

Just like Genaro said ten hours ago, I don't believe the 2010 songs will be released as we know it. Out of the three above, the first one is also the least probable in September,

Which leaves me with two possibilities left. Note that will.i.am will be releasing a solo album this year (he has about thirty finished collaboration tracks to choose from) and Guetta has been working on his own album and Rihanna's latest recently. Moreover, would U2 prefer the club album instead of a rock album? Bono and Edge probably do, but I'm not sure about Larry.

    What do you guys think?
  8. By the way, what if those three albums all have the same songs?
  9. Great news, que the new beach clips please!

  10. hahaha yes please Let the beaching start with some new bitch clips! Oh wait...
  11. hehehe ... well said Sergio
i would prefer bitch vynils though ... (Tim? )
  12. Instead of relevance, how about if it feels good do it - because someone's gonna love you for it.

Ten classic rock tunes, no ballads...just a simple straight rock and roll album where nobody overthinks and the lyrics aren't trite.
