1. The CD is great!! Breathe and Stuck came as surprises, amazing performances!!
  2. I'm just happy Your Blue Room and 40 are on there. I'm also getting used to the odd chords during Electrical Storm and am starting to really enjoy listening to it!

The other songs are also always good to have, I Will Follow, NYD, Hold Me, and the others!
  3. Electrical Storm sounds way better than it does on any bootleg I've heard. I don't know what they did with that song, but it works so well. And 40... Nice to have, but based on the quality of the performance, I would call it another wasted track along with Scarlet. But with the bonus downloads and other material that came with Edge's Picks, I'm not having a fuss over it.
  4. I never doubted Electrical Storm... sounded good to my ears all along minus the occasional odd guitar sound but not enough to ruin it for me ahahaha
  5. It sounded so awkward on all the bootlegs. The guitar riff was just one of many aspects that felt very off during those performances.
  6. Which songs do we miss still? Mothers...the three new songs...
  7. Party Girl and Stingray (two that aren't really needed at this point, imo).

I'd still like them to get Mother's out there, however.
  8. I may be biased because I was at the Moncton show when they played 40, but I really don't see why everyone takes such issue with it. Obviously there are a few mistakes, Edge starting too early, Adam not really remembering the guitar parts, but other than that it doesn't seem like that missed of a performance. To me it makes it all the more special because it's obvious they hadn't played it for a long time (maybe not even practised it) and it was only played the one time. People go nuts over a version of Mothers that doesn't even sound fully fleshed-out but hate on 40. Cut it some slack! It works well on Edge's Picks.

    I would like Stingray.

You're being quite generous by saying that there were just "a few" mistakes. Setting the mistakes aside, the performance wasn't very good. It was special because it was the one and only performance of the song, but from an objective standpoint it wasn't very good.

And I stand behind a release of Mothers because it sounded amazing. Plus, we have no official recordings of Mothers performed live whereas the Chicago DVD version of 40 is, in my mind, the gold standard of what 40 should sound like. But in all honesty, I think they put 40 there because they need a "show closer" on the CD.

  11. They/Edge should have merged SBS and Scarlet as one track (they did this a handful of times on U22) and used Stingray as the FTGU opener - still 15 tracks AND happier fans.
