1. they're great yes hehe
among the bands forming the Seattle Scene Screaming Trees have more psychedelic and "alternative" roots rather than punk and heavy roots
as musicians, the Conner brothers are good, Barret Martin (Mad Season) is very good and Mark Lanegan and his voice gives that extra that elevates them a lot.
in general they come right below PJ Nirvana Soundgarden and Alice in Chains; anyway for some stuff they don't make bad impression in being named with the other bands.
if you want to go with a couple i definetely recommend Sweet Oblivion and Uncle Anesthesia (in order of my preference) .. both a must in a grunge vault
  2. Yeah, I've heard of Sweet Oblivion before mainly because it is their most popular. There is a box set on Amazon with three of their albums: Sweet Oblivion, Uncle Anesthesia and Dust. I might delve into that as it is only £9 for the entire set.
  3. it's a very good bargain indeed Kieran
Dust is a very good album; it probably suffers their declining period as indivuals and as a band as a consequence.
Mark went straight into his "hell" and even more deep into his addiction, if possible, after the death of Kurt (they were very close).
