Taper comments: this was my first Arctic Monkeys show, and also the 1st concert I responsibly taped. Two factors that played against each other. On one hand, I was absolutely overwhelmed and hyper excited by (finally) seeing them, and on the other hand I was trying to be careful not to f**k things up in my first tape. Hence the relative unstability and fluctuations of the sound quality.
I also had to literally scape from the first rows after the Miles Kane opening act, because it was so overcrowded that we could barely breathe at all. It was horrendous. By the time I got to the mixing desk, my hat (where I'd thought to mount my mics in) was completely drowned in sweat, so I had to improvise a manual mount while the Monkeys were already in the stage. I got things right around Black Treacle, there the recording becomes a little better.
No processing has been made. What you get is the direct, raw recording. I might upgrade it soon by tweaking some things, removing hiss, etc... But for the moment (until I have some spare time) this is what I can offer.
All problems aside, this is a pretty enjoyable recording of a great, great show. I hope you can enjoy it as much as I did recording it.
