  2. I didn't know where else to post so....last week was Soundgarden at the dumpy, sweaty, smelly , but love it..... Hammerstein Ballroom...

Tonight,I'm going with the wife to see Keane at the beautiful, historic Radio City Music Hall....my friend Chris (from London) got me into them when Hopes & Fears was released in 04.....I was very impressed when they opened for U2 @ MSG in '05...IMO,they are very Coldplayish..meaning catchy tunes....I saw them live in London..I think in 2009 maybe, Chris insisted....it goes without saying, that seeing a British band in England is an experience in itself....but seeing the reaction of the British fans once Bedshaped was performed is something I will simply never forget....H & F and Under the Iron Sea are both brilliant....but they seem to have slipped a bit since then...let's hope the set is heavy on those 2,and the fans chant along at least half as good as our brethren Brits....LOL
  3. jesus Ed you could have posted that in the coldplay thread ...

Kim is getting quite irritated ... hehehe
  4. Hahahahahaha...Ron....are you mocking me ?

    LOL
  5. hehe no .. just warning you
  6. Chris Cornell to induct Heart into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Heart recently announced on their Facebook page that Chris Cornell will do the honors of inducting the band into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Typically the artist who inducts a musician into the hall performs at the induction ceremony as well. There’s no word whether Cornell, or his band Soundgarden, will take the stage at the ceremony on April 18.
  7. That brings up something that's been on my mind: Being objective as possible, is Soundgarden R&R HoF worthy? This reunion will certainly help their case - maybe they got back together for this reason! Nah.
  8. As Im sure you know Matt, they were together for over 10 yrs before they broke up,but most (like myself) didnt know of them until the Singles movie, and Temple of the Dog in '91... Bith Ritual was the first song I heard from them...

Im still not that familiar with the '80s Soundgarden...those cd's are in the wind...lol
  9. Screaming Life/Fopp and Ultramega OK are tough listens. Some of the songs are good but the production is just too rough. In all likelihood, I'll never be able to get into them in their entirety. For this reason, I am hoping that they'll get some of the recent shows out there. The earlier songs they are playing (Beyond the Wheel, Flower, etc.) will flow so much better with the work from the 1990's and King Animal.
  10. Thanks for the email Matt...

  11. My friend Chris says "Europeans have great taste in music, therefore Europeans love Keane"

is this not true Ron ????

    lol
