  4. Mysterious Ways is hardly overrated. It got more than its fair share of play on the Elevation Tour, but as a studio track and during the ZooTV, PopMart, and Vertigo Tours, it brought down the house.

    Mercy is probably the most overrated U2 song as of yet. It's a rough-sounding track, but even still, it feels a little uninspired. It's too safe, too much in the vein of the Dismantle-era stuff, for it to really be as brilliant as everyone claims it to be. The appeal there is more that it was an unreleased track that was actually of some decent quality, not that it's particularly stellar.

  6. I agree on Mercy. It's been compared to "Streets" and "Bad". Argh. It's not that great yet. Maybe it will be when it's finished... then again, maybe not. We'll have to wait.

    I think Mysterious Ways is overrated... so is New Year's Day... so is Elevation... so is Even better... so is Love is Blindness. Not bad songs, just not as good as some say.

    i think elevation has been played to much, i really liked it at first on the promo tour with the loud creep guitar riff.

  9. i would have to say "New Year's Day," everyone thinks that it is early U2's quintessential song, but there are much better songs, for example An Cat Dubh, Electric Co and 40.

    Also ive never been a huge fan of Still Havent Found What I'm Looking For, and also Stuck In A Moment

  10. Quite strange that many people think that Mysterious Ways is overrated....I think you should see the Slane version, with bono's daughter on stage....The Edge's Solo is outstanding Then you will notice that this song isn't overrated.
    And New Year's Day is a great song, but not as fantastic as many people say, so that one is a little bit overrated....
  11. With Or Without You. I like it, but I've never understood the crazy people about WOWY. It's just a ballad.
    Also One, I can repeat the same text or you can read it again. Just a love song.

    I think that's because it's just overplayed for us as die-hard fans, if you never listen to U2 and listen to all their songs then songs like WOWY and One really jump out. But we don't see the greatness anymore because it's just overplayed in our heads
