Made some photos as well, here is a shot with a borrowed Nikon 1V1. FB crappified the JPG, but it is good enough for the forum

Aaa beautifull Budapest, did you have a good time there?
    What lens did you use?
  2. The standard 10-30 mm kit lens. And yes,I had a splendid time there You have been there as well?

@Bart some great compositions. You should pick up photography, maybe with a standalone camera.
  3. Always a pleasure to see new posts in here, particularly when it's new photo's. I love that shot of the plane Aidan, the letter boxing effect really sets it apart.

And Bart, I agree with what Chris said above. You have an eye for capturing a pleasing photograph. The shots of the Grand Canyon and the first landscape shot at Yosemite look great. Good to see the weather was kind to you on your holiday

    I haven't shared anything for a while...

Yes many many times, beautiful city.

Have since a few weeks a 10-22 mm lens, will try some, especially in Budapest again in the spring
  5. You have the Nikon 1 as well?
  6. I've been in Paris for a few days, got a lot of interesting pics to share!

Took those photo's with my phone (HTC Desire S) They look pretty good for a phone

EDIT: Oh they are a little small, click for full size

    Wow, really great pics

The last one specially...I really want to take a pic like this someday

  8. No I have a Canon 550D, not too long though, just got into the photography hobby
  9. Good camera that one Everyone in our house has / had Nikons due to the fact we have some lenses for them. That made our choice in the Nikon / Canon fight easy

Today the D7100 was announced, hopefully the D5100 wont go EOL, but go down in price range.

  10. Thank you guys

And to thake a pic like that isn't really hard I guess, since you are a really good photo maker (Or at least that's the impression I get when I look in this topic )

The Grand Canyon is beautiful everywhere you look, you only have to have a bit of luck with the weather.

  11. A kick in the teeth if you're there on vacation and you get bad weather. Here in the UK, we have two national parks - The Lake District and The Peak District - and both are stunning when the weather is nice. There are some spots that I love to visit and only twice have I had truly great weather. I know what it's like to take a camera somewhere and have to leave it in your bag because the weather is bad. Obviously bad weather can make an equally great photo, but when your high above sea level and the clouds are low there's not much to see

This was probably the best day of weather I had in the Peak District:

Well, it's not well represented in that photo, but it was a nice sunset.
  12. Nice shot, iTim!
