1. I CAN`T SEE WHAT ALL THE FUSS IS ABOUT IT WAS A STRAIGHT RED, SIMPLE!!!!!!.
  2. I don't feel as though it deserved a red card. We'll see a few more challenges like that over the course of the season and they will result in the booking that Nani should've got last night. Refereeing across Europe is inconsistent. Arbeloa didn't make a meal of it, he got up and carried on with the game following treatmentand only Sergio Ramos had a word with the referee so there's no blame attached to Madrid. It was a genuine attempt to control the ball. He wasn't running head on at Arbeloa, he went for the ball and Arbeloa jumped right into the challenge (as he quite rightly is allowed to do).

Let's not forget though that United weren't the only team that suffered from a poor decision as Real Madrid should've had a goal stand in the first half and maybe a penalty in the second. In the end, they were fortunate that it wasn't an issue. Ferdinand obviously lost his rag at the end and as comical as it was, he should know better.

The game itself I thought was pretty good. Real Madrid certainly commanded the first leg, but I feel they did so less in the second leg. Ronaldo barely entered the game until after Nani had been sent off. Vidic hit the post in the first half and forced a top save in the last five minutes from a set piece. Rooney had a golden opportunity to level the game in the second half too. Overall, I think United were doing enough to see the game out or to extra-time at least with eleven men. Following the dismissal, Real Madrid pressured and took advantage but the last ten minutes saw some brave football from United, so credit for that. Vidic, Welbeck and Giggs all put in a great performance.

The behaviour of some United fans however was unacceptable.
  3. I'm not bitter. United had multiple scoring opportunities late on and didn't convert. They lost their heads after the card and switched off. The Modric goal was a great strike but to concede the second so quickly was criminal. Nano would never have been covering the back post so it made no odds that he wasn't on the pitch. Only ourselves to blame.

And Welbeck is a lemon. He just has no killer instinct. Gets himself into fantastic space but put him in front of goal and he looks like a giraffe on an ice rink.

Edit - full disclosure. Had a fiver on Welbeck for first goal at 7/1 and another fiver on united to go through in extra time at 25/1.

They panicked. It was obvious that Madrid would push on and changes would need to be made. Immediately, Valencia should've replaced Welbeck and Giggs shoudl've switched to the left. But Mourinho's cool head decided to bring Modric on and take advantage. Ferguson was outraged and he didn't act until it was too late. As you say though, we had chances and didn't take them. Credit to Lopez for the fantastic save he made against Vidic.
  5. Madrid pounced beautifully. I hope this Chelsea game goes smoothly. Had feelings of a treble this year. Would settle for the double though. It's been too long since we held the FA Cup.
  6. Ronnie ....something to say about Bale
  7. Tim ...i heard that Rooney is in the transfer list , is that right ?

  8. yes he will miss next match hehehe
    ^shhh don't wake up Andrew ... hehehe

They played really bad or not ? i coudn t see the match
  10. they didn't play at all!!! .. neither bad nor good .. they never showed from the locker room
aweful defense aweful middlefield non existent attack .. some statue here and there in the field
they should have scored at least one of the 2 chances we had for the return match .. but the result is widely deserved

ps: i watched a bit of the first half of Boca - Nacional last night

So let talk about music ..... hehe

Boca lost again and is in big problems....because they have a good team but they have a lot of problems for score.... Bianchi ( best coach of Boca s history ) is back , Riquelme is back ( favourite player for the fans ) and the team is weak in defense , mid and for score....

    This is the team :

Orion : the best of the team , awesome goalkeeper
Franco Sosa: good player , a bit slow
    Perez: strong defender
Burdisso: good with the head but bad with 1vs 1
Clemente Rodriguez: he goes good to the attack but he is not a great defender
Ribair Rodriguez: strong midfielder ...only to destroy the game of the rival
Erbes: a hot prospect... like Banega a bit more agressive
Erviti: a great player ...have a great leg and good pass.
Riquelme: the brain of the team
JM Martinez: very good player...very fast and with goal
Viatri : good handling for a high striker but he is not scoring

    this is a summary
  12. Riquelme favourite by the fans of this time team right? not all time??

i read you're going to call Palacio for the seleccìon .. you shouldn't .. he needs some rest every now and then .. and we desperetely need him in form
