U2 - I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For

  1. Hello!
    New to the forums here, and was hoping someone could help me out. A while back, I stumbled across an incredible version of this song that I just can't seem to find again! It was different to any other version I had heard, and Bono was sort of screaming most of the song. Does anyone know which one I am talking about? I seem to remember it being from ZooTV but have yet to find it again so maybe I am mistaken. I would greatly appreciate any help!

    Hmmm I don't think I've heard that version you mention but I'm sure it has to be from the Zoo TV era too due to the strange nature of what you mention Let's hope someone knows it. Good luck!

  4. hello patou2, I don't think it was acoustic, but I can't quite remember. The only part I really remember well was the vocals. Maybe screaming is the wrong word, but he was singing it differently. Especially the last verse. Hope that helps!
  5. I can remenber some ZOO shows that they played acoustic and sounds really different .... but this is the only thing i can say about it with this info
  6. They performed two different versions of I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For on ZooTV, if I'm not mistaken. The acoustic version - one of which was performed with Daniel Lanois - and the normal full band electric version which was usually performed near the end of the main set. This is something that will have to be researched and they played the song 109 times on that tour.

    Yes , you are right...but the full band version was played as always , not big changes but the acoustic was very different to the usual version , maybe one of the acoustic version is that Halfast is looking for
  8. Thinking about it more i seem to remember it being from somewhere like Germany, i believe 2nd leg of the tour. I will start going through it to see. I also think you may be right about it being acoustic, but i'm not certain.

    I'm pretty sure 'I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For' was played in full band electric until the end of the European arena tour.

    Assuming you mean the European arena tour (the second leg of the tour), you have an option of five gigs if you believe it is in Germany.

    1992-05-25 - Munich
    1992-05-29 - Frankfurt
    1992-06-04 - Dortmund
    1992-06-05 - Dortmund
    1992-06-13 - Kiel

    Just listen to every version of the song from those shows and see if it's one of them.
