1. Chelsea Light Moving new site
    (Thurston Moore latest project)

  2. An absolutely phenomenal single. R&B mixed with some indie-pop, and some SOUL. Sounds like a Prince song.
  3. Kodaline's debut album out next month. These boys are gonna take the world by storm if these couple of songs are anything to go by!!

  4. Justin Timberlakes 'The 20/20 Experience' leaked. Disappointing.
  5. You are going to be in the very, very, very small minority of people who think that.

That album is absolutely wondrous. A completely different approach to modern pop music.
  6. DM announced yesterday Fall 2013 NA tour..

Yeah, I noticed the different approach and I think the concept could work, but it simply doesn't work for me, yet.

It could grow on me, I have only given it one listen so far. Moreover, I think Mirrors and FutureSex/LoveSounds set my hopes up way too high.

The thing I like about Timberlake are the transitions / bridges / preludes / interludes. One of my favorite sounds in recent pop history is the guitar in 'I Think She Knows'. I haven't heard something like that on the new record yet...

  8. I was severely disappointed that the album didn't have the transitions like FS/LS, or a perfect club song like SexyBack, and then I realized...how was he going to do that better than he did on FS/LS? Moreover, why would he want to do the same thing again?

What makes the new album so great (though the entirety is not really as great as Mirrors or Pusher Love Girl, admittedly) is that it is a 100% completely new direction. I don't hear an ounce of FS/LS on this album, and though at first it bugged me because that album was so great.....it's so great to hear brand new sounds.

I listened to the album twice in the meantime and it did grow on me. So I might want to pick my words more careful next time...

The new direction is definitely a cool thing and you're right, it is 100% different, but that is exactly what disappointed me: I expected more stuff like Fs/Ls.

I think we feel the same about the album.
  10. Another recent album:
  11. Depeche Modes 'Delta Machine' has leaked and Justin Timberlakes 'The 20/20 Experience 2' has been announced.
