  4. I think Soon is a pretty cool track but I don't know if I would have wanted an entire album that sounded like it.
  5. A whole album like Soon would have been amazing. At two minutes a song, you can have so many songs there'd surely be a minute for everyone's taste!!!

    That, or Passengers 2.
  6. I like the "oddness" of Soon, that violin at the end is CHILLING. I don't mean literally 12 songs like Soon, but something as weird and strange as that would be epic. There's nothing really like it in U2's canon and at this rate they shouldn't be afraid to be weird or innovative.

  8. The way I see Fez is that it's the logical way for U2 to get experimental. The U2 sound is retained but at the same time the track brings me somewhere completely different from anywhere where U2's music has brought me before. It's just so different.
  9. Yeah and to me that's why Fez is one of the best songs on the album, it's different why still having that U2-sound to it. While other songs sound compromised in order to try and appeal to a larger audience.
  10. I think we can all agree that U2 compromising the music for "mainstream" appeal doesn't work. They have to go all in or not at all. We shall see if they've learned their lesson on the next album

    Fez to me was a useless loop with a Boots Reprise. Now Being Born is a real song. I edit the Fez intro off on my cdr of the album, with just the Being Born part. I add Soon as the opener, followed by Breathe, and put Winter in there as track 4 or 5.

    I think Genaro92 means 'Fez' as in the whole track, Fez - Being Born
