  3. MIKE MCCREADY AND JERRY CANTRELL TO JOIN CHRIS CORNELL AT ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME CEREMONY

Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready and Alice In Chains guitarist/vocalist Jerry Cantrell are set to join Heart for their performance at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next month. Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell will induct Heart. The 28th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony takes place on April 18th in Los Angeles.

Heart recorded a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Ring Them Bells” in 1993 with the late Layne Staley, and have strong ties to the Seattle Grunge music scene. Ann Wilson also performed on songs on Alice In Chains’ 1992 EP Sap.
  4. Definitely Nirvana. I was in Dublin during my studies at that time and heard them bands playing Smells like teen spirit in Temple Bar district. And they were playing when I was out with a beautiful girl who to my surprise could take more guiness at one bite than I thought. I was looking to appear polite to get her back then
  5. yesterday i finally remembered to order this "little" gem

    waitin impatiently ..
  6. Neil Young is my favourite grunge artist
  7. Sad day

  8. One of those days that frustrates me the most. It's full of people grieving at how Kurt Cobain died on this day, yet people forget that so did Layne Staley. It actually saddens me that I have to remind people there is an equally talented grunge musician out there who is always overshadowed by Kurt Cobain.

    R.I.P. Layne Staley.

And Kurt Cobain, for that matter.
  9. Nirvana had and have surely a wider following (in some case just to be "alternative" i guess) so it's easy that Layne is sadly forgotten (or not known at all)
i agree 99% with you .. the left 1% is cause of the word "equally" .. but that is a preference of mine
  10. Was it 27 years ago yesterday?
  11. 19th Kurt
    11th Layne Staley
