1. I think The Killers probably either rejected it or weren't asked purely because they are playing Wembley Stadium a week before.

I really want to go to Glastonbury now. So tempted to register to be a steward so I can work for my ticket. It would be a monumental experience.

I suppose only UK residents can do that?
  3. I haven't read anything about it being just for UK residents. I suppose if you are fluent in the English language - which you pretty much are - then you will be okay and eligible to apply.
  4. I might look into that, it would be grand!

More stuff coming; the rumoured Lollapalooza line-up:

  5. So Mumford are headliners there too. Is this a joke? hahaha

  6. Seems legit but the last time I saw a picture of a line up in a magazine - which was Reading & Leeds 2012 - it turned out to be fake, so I'd take it with a pinch of salt if I were you.

Mumford & Sons headlining Lollapalooza? Christ sake, have festivals run of the headliners they want and resorted to them?
  7. so so so glad i bought my glastonbury ticket!
  8. That's a real lineup. I'm happy. Not ecstatic, but happy. Lot of gems on the bottom lines, and The Cure and Nine Inch Nails will certainly be my highlight of the weekend.

Bottom lines might mean 20 minutes sets - bummer for real gems like you say. ANyway, glad you're happy with it What was the total price of the weekend wristband?
  10. $230.

Generally the shortest sets are still 45 minutes unless you don't have that much time worth of material. One thing I really like about Lolla is that bands don't get screwed on time slots, but that can also make conflicts difficult.

Just gotta get your runnin' shoes on
  11. I actually have an article being published in our paper tomorrow about the worth of Lollapalooza. Did some good research and got some cool interviews with the right people...I'll post a link to it tomorrow when it runs.
  12. Hmmm $230 is about 180€... Not bad, although I'm not sure if I'd play that much for that line-up though. No disrespect for your choice, Matt, and I'm sure you'll have a great time and I actually envy you

Oh and I'm looking forward to read that article!!
