  1. If The Cure and NIN weren't headlining, I wouldn't spend my weekend in Grant Park either. Maybe a one-day just to not miss the fest completely this year.

    Really? I'm doing a feature on the inflation of festivals affecting overall attendance, and I'm trying to nail some interviews with top festivals at the moment.

    The Lolla line-up isn't that bad, but it isn't that great either. Like you said, some great acts on the bottom lines - a bit like T in the Park this year.

    Yeah, good but not great.

    I managed to get ahold of the promoters of Lollapalooza but they're being very difficult about an interview. Got in touch with House of Blues though, who host a lot of official aftershows and parties that weekend, and got someone high enough up to give me some information.

    Yeah I considered talking to Greg Kot from the Tribune here, the one who leaks all of the info from C3, but I also thought that if readers wanted to know what he thought about the festival they'd probably just read the columns he publishes anyway.

    We'll see how the whole thing pans out. Waiting for an answer from C3 all day today, but if they don't get around to it, the article must run in tomorrow's print so I'll have to use my other sources.
