About this whole broadcast discussion, think the organizers advertised this without agreement of the band. Then organizers need to cancel the broadcast kind of last minute leaving many disappointed blaming the band for this cancellation (reading diverse forums). That's not fair.
So guys, here I am after the 3 days of Lolla Brasil.
Let's get right to the point: open with Small Town was not what I was expecting, but it was really nice!
Here's one crappy video I just found
After this, things became much more intense and I really loved the setlist, even if they didn't play The Fixer, wich is really one of my favorite songs.
Corduroy, Ole and Evolution almost in sequence...I couldn't feel my legs after this!
Nice to see Wishlist, and Even Flow was a big explosion (so as Daughter, Jeremy and Alive) since the biggest part of festival audiences is not made of hardcore fans. And even noticing that, I could cleary see there were a lot of people singing along biggest part of the songs, wich was really great!
Then, the sequence of World Wide, Jeremy, Unthougt Unknown and State Of Love And Trust was really awesome...some of my favorite PJ together and after that, for my surprise, one of the highlights of the night: Rearviewfuckingmirror! You can't imagine how happy I was during this moment...it's a song that I always wanted to see live! And it was really awesome!
Eddie was really in a good vibe during the hole night, and it's really impressive how he can transmits a powerfull and peacefull imagine at the same time. He spoke Portuguese almost during the entire concert, wich was really nice since it's very difficult... Lots of "thank you" and mostly important, 3 or 4 speeches about love, about peace, about taking care of eachother and about equality. He also made a beautiful speech about people of the same gender getting together (wich just was allowed in my state, Sao Paulo) and about how important was for people to be happy, no matter who they are or do for living. It was really touching and it showed how great his heart is.
Also, he said thanks to the biggest part of the bands that played in Lolla and also a thanks to....U2 Yes, Adam was right beside the stage watching them and Eddie said hello! He also said they're "in the middle of our new album". So, be ready guys
The encore started with one of my favorites, Given To Fly, wich is always a pleasure to hear, and with Not For You. Then, the huge part of the night, and I can't express with my words how great it was...Better Man, with full audience singing, an with the two big screens of the stage showing one of the most beautiful moons I've ever seen! It was mindblowing and I amost cryed...really really beautiful!
Black, wich also got the biggest part of festival singing, two great covers, Go and the amazing finish with Ledbetter... 27 songs and a night to remember for ever, so as the first night of the festival with Killers epic performance.
It seems like a great night indeed "Rearviewfuckingmirror" (:9) was probably amazing, I love that song and I'm sure it's crazy live. Sorry that you didn't get The Fixer, but you got a great setlist anyway Glad you enjoyed it so much Aidan!!
