Yes, the result is fixed prior to the show but it's pretty thrilling for those who don't know it. In my recording of the Madrid show you can hear me screaming "Stokholm!!! Stooockhooolm!!!" - they played NB
  2. I was the opposite – I got 'Stockholm Syndrome' instead of 'New Born' but I wanted the latter
  3. Yeah, I remember when you got back from your show, which was something like 3 or 4 days after mine, and we wished we had gotten each other's setlist

  4. Not sure if your have the Earls Court recordings from 2004, but it was used as the introduction. Nice to see it back

Of course I do, two great (soundboard) bootlegs. I didn't think that was the same song, what a great thing! Thanks

  6. Appears it was. I was half expecting them to go into Apocalypse Please at the end of it ;)
  7. How I miss Apocalypse Please

  8. If/when I start listening to some live recordings of the band, are their any particular shows that you recommend me getting? I see that they have an official release (HAARP) which looks pretty solid (too bad "Plug In Baby" is only available in video format on the deluxe edition) but I'm wondering if there is anything else/better.

As I type this I can't help but think that you longtime Muse fans must be thinking, "Has this guy been living under a rock for the past decade?"

    My answer: Somewhat.
  9. Probably some of the more key gigs in the bands history, their version of Red Rocks/Slane to put it one way.

    Glastonbury 2004

Earls Court 1 and 2, 2004 (as mentioned)
Found here thanks to Mark http://en.u2start.com/topic/7077/

    Glastonbury 2010 (with mr Edge)
    Reading 2006

these are broadcast, 5 star gigs, and probably a good place to start before delving deeper.
  10. haha don't worry Matt, there's always time to take the right path

I'd recommend you to start with their fantastic Glastonbury 2004 set, labelled (by themselves) as their best show ever. Then probably move on to HAARP (magnificent DVD) and Reading 2006. If you like these 3 then come back and more material will be supplied
  11. Hans beat me to it! Yep, good list, but maybe Earls Court have too many unknown songs for a begginer? I adore these concerts but maybe they're too harsh to start with - it's like telling someone to start listening to U2 with a Popmart show haha
