  2. One hell of a show. My voice is kind of shot. Hearing No Surrender with two classmates you've gone to Stockholm with sure is something.

Yeah I agree. Nothing special at all. Not even half as great as the Euro shows from last year. The tour is going downhill imo.
  4. it's clearly one of those setlists where you have to be there to enjoy it. I don't think he'll do the full albums when he only plays a single date in a city as they change the flow of the show too much - one reason why i don't think u2 will ever do them - everything on born to run, darkness and born in the usa gets a regular outing anyway (with maybe the exceptions of the likes of meeting across the river, streets of fire, factory, my hometown). You certainly can't, sadly, do a full nebraska or tunnel in a stadium and probably not greetings, wiess or the river either but they are the albums which would bring genuine surprises to the set lists.
  5. Yeah I dunno. I was expecting great things from the Boss again in Europe after his 10 shows over here. They were a lot more imaginative and adventurous than what I was expecting after having not played here for 10 years. But he blew me (and all the hardcores I met who'd been to 200+ shows and all the leg here) away with how great his shows were. Just seems like a little bit of a let down to me, but what do I/we know just writing our worthless opinions on the internet. Any Boss concert would be fantastic to be at, don't get me wrong.
  6. i liked both oslo's i just think the stockholm (third night in particular) shows weren't done any favours by the full album - the only places where he's got multiple nights now are london and kilkenny and i don't think he'll do any albums at either of those. If you lose momentum in your show wembley is a very unforgiving place to do it because it attracts so many casual fans (regardless of who is on) who are there for the hits and the beer.

on a side note only hanging rock recordings missing from australia, though i'm intrigued as to why there weren't shows in adelaide or perth or any in new zealand
  7. I'm not sure why they didn't do Adelaide or NZ, as they aren't a huge distance from the East coast. There were some articles written about why Bruce didn't play Perth, and somewhere in some of them he said that it was a 50:50 thing that just didn't pull through. Although I think for the arenas and sizes of crowds he would have gotten in Perth (<30k) combined from the two nights, the extra distance west would have been the killer (3500km), further than Brisbane - Sydney - Melbourne alone. And Adelaide doesn't ever appear to be a huge concert city so I think the trip west just wasn't feasible in the end.

I think theincident taped HR1, but from what I can gather, he didn't make it to the second night. So hopefully the show did get taped by someone else. People came from all around the country to see those shows as they were over Easter, so tickets sold out in a matter of minutes, if there were going to be any of those casual type tapers who go and tape each and every show they see regardless and up them somewhere, they would have had to have been keen to go from the very start. Fingers crossed that someone got night 2, that opening 4 was incredible.
  8. soundcheck ... Light of Day ... Highway Patrolman!

  9. I'll come round there and slap you silly Bruce. Surely not nebraska?
